Overinvestment in FSL 2 is creating competitive risk; Dexcom is on to the smaller CGM unit, and ADC was caught unawares. ALready we are building overcapacity at about 200MM units by late 2020, with sales projected at barely 74MM. ADC will see mass layoffs in mid 2021; belts are already getting tightened across supply chain.

DexCom and Verily(google) will have their new G7 system out in about a year. Depending on the FDA. It will be Blue Tooth to a cell and work as a true CGM. In many ways a cheaper, smaller version of the G6. Abbott jumped on Dexcom mostly over cost (Libre is cheap). However, a full CGM at the same cost of Libre will be a real problem for ADC. Abbott needs a Libre 3 that can compete......

I am a pharmacy tech with an associate degree. I always have meter reps bringing me lunch and asking me to convert consumers that come to my counter to their meter brand. I am burned out with the pharmacy tech gig and know I can do the job of a meter rep. Many of the meter reps in my area are scared that I could take their job as I am now looking to become one.. Do they require a bachelors degree to get hired? With my pharmacy tech contacts I know I can get lots of conversions.

Go after it if it seems like something you would like to do! Start networking with your reps and ask them to let you know of any openings. I would help you if I were calling on your area!!

Yesh, but FSL 3 will not be out until 2021 - despite pressure from our COO (RF) that we must get FSL 3 to market by 4Q 2019, lats by 2Q 2020

FSL 2 isn't even on the market yet... when is that coming out?

I don't think the G7 will get out by 2020. Totally new sensor and all new electronics. FDA and EU will take it's time for approval. So if FSL 3 is ready in 2021 the two systems will go head to head about the same time.

Pill pusher here, can confirm we are dumb as a box of diabetic test strips or is it persons with diabetes test strips? This really is a complicated business to understand. Like stick a button under your arm and swipe with your phone. That’s tuff to comprehend. What is hard to understand is why you think a retarded monkey can’t sell your toy.

Diabetic meters is a very non technical type of sell if any selling at all. The endos don’t care, the retailers give you the bums rush. Go figure.

But you don't sell that many meters and strips anymore. Mostly Libre CGM....

Best thing ADC has going for it is the $1B investment from Miles - if expansion keeps going (a bit bumpy right now), we may be able to beat Dexcom by sheer volume we can pit on the market ...

Phase II expansion is way behind schedule - Scott H and his idiot Ops crew can't get shit done on time

Amen to that; most of the Ops crew are from auto industry - no idea about med devices; Scott H is shitting bricks under pressure from COO Robert F

Classic case of blind leading the blind. Like the other poster said, all the creative talent is gone and these guys think all they need to do is turn the crank. ADC's luck is running out....

Truthful responses please... What is the salary range for someone coming in with experience (10-15 or more years, pharma and device, diabetes)?
