I don’t know if it’s Princeton One or Alder at this point. When I’ve asked for status, PO says they are waiting on Alder. Seems like everything is hurried and then it slows to a stop with no communication from anyone. Can’t tell if this is a red flag or just a start-up thing? With a pdufa in Feb I don’t know why they dont wait to hire until December. Just my opinion.

Just reading this thread and I have to say wow! The District Managers are on here heavy. They're working overtime to promote the job. LOL

Alder isn't paying a decent base as some tried to allude to earlier. Could you possibly end up with 120 or 130? Maybe....that would be the highest. But that isn't a good amount these days for an experienced successful biotech rep. Plus to have to go buy a car is a big risk. Their claim of fame is speed of drug working. This isn't a big deal and the injectables will eat this drug for lunch. I believe this is a very high risk opportunity with very little reward for a brand new startup. I personally wouldn't recommend it and don't think the product will do well in a very crowded market space. Some neurologist may infuse in their practices but that isn't the majority. Most over the years are walking away from that. I pass on this opportunity and would consider this a bad move for most careers.

Spoken like a DM from a competitor? What are you so afraid of? Sounds like other thread “Think Twice.” Kinda funny if you ask me. Who of the thousand candidates would post this crap?

My salary is well above what you’re quoting—and far beyond what Lilly was offering—and the car allowance is great. Someone’s getting their a** kicked and can’t handle the idea of another better product hitting the market. Am I right?

You must be an ex Lilly employee/manager

Yeah I don’t think any Lilly people are going to be willing to risk this. They need to offer either a really substantial signing bonus $50k???? Or some sort of guarantee if the product doesn’t get approved. Don’t get me wrong if you need a job this is an excellent opportunity or if you don’t have buy and bill experience and REALLY want it this this is great. It is just hard, even if they offer you $150-160 base to jump ship and go with a company that is burning cash this fast. Huge risk, but maybe worth is for some people.........the whole thing could go bust next year. Good luck!

I work at the Bothell, Washington site ("HQ"). Different area, so I can't comment on sales stuff. Great company culture. Stock is in toilet, but out of the four companies we are the only one with no drug at all. Zero to one approval must mean something. Approvals at the other three companies barely moved the needles...

RSU on signing and every year after review time (this used to be
    options)
401k is 6% match of gross salary
ESPP is 15% of gross salary, at 15% discount, for 6 month terms
14 days sick time, 5 days bereavement, 15 days paternity/
    maternity
    15 days vacation at 0 years/20 days at 5 years/25 days at 10 years
    LTD included
Health/dental/eye insurance all included; one dependent is an extra reasonable fee per month, two plus is about double that per month; $500 debit card for small co-pays, etc.
Travel policy seems very fair versus other places I have been
    Gym club fee reimbursement
Free life insurance at 150% annual salary

I might have made a few errors here but not on the important benefits.

I don’t know where some of these people are getting their information. Base is 155-170 and the benefits are exactly as you outlined with the exception of insurance i was told paid 100% for family coverage. 15 days sick time and 15 days vacay, 6% 401k, stock options, $750 car allowance and 35cents a mile car insurance paid.
Sure it will take some work like any drug but MANY of the neurologists I currently call on are putting in infusion chairs if they don’t already have one just in anticipation of eptinezumab. All of the large headache centers and neurologists have them already for MS infusions.

I’m at Lilly and if my offer comes in I’m leaving Lilly and coming to Alder! Lilly’s culture is in the toilet. They talk about taking care of people but do the opposite. Also, lilly doesn’t pay! It would take many people staying at Lilly 20 years to make what Alder is paying. This is a great opportunity! If we get there and sell sell sell the stock will produce and we will all get PAID!

The stock is the key to all of this!

I got a call from P-1 on Friday and they said to expect offers on Monday or Tuesday! That’s quicker than I expected.

So I take it that you flew to the face to face interviews? I had an interview two weeks ago and never heard anything from the manager or P1.

Had my final round of interviews this past Friday with three different people. “My” hiring manager still has one person for final interview. Brought two to the final round but isn’t interviewing the other until the week of the 23rd. A friend in another part of the country already told she should expect an offer this coming Monday.

You guys are royally screwed by Lundbeck’s buyout of your company. Sounds like you had it great, but now, welcome to PRIMARY CARE!
