GI division is launching in July. There are multiple manager position openings and reps just posted. Almost all rep positions will be filled internally

So no hope to even apply for one of the rep positions?

A lot hired internally, but there are some opportunities for externals. Interviews are happening right now.

the interviews for all positions that were not internally filled are complete and now the wait is on. . . Has anyone that applies externally been offered the position yet? the interviews took place over a week ago in kansas City.

There's additional interviews taking place in Chicago over the next few weeks. Seems they are using different locations and times depending where you are in the country.

It makes sense that they are doing interviews throughout the country to regionally make travel more convenient. However, Kansas City was 2 weeks ago and the candidates were told to expect an answer in 2-3 days. No one has heard anything yet. this is very frustrating if they know who they are hiring and are putting themselves at risk of losing good candidates to other opportunities.

Looks like they are making decisions. After being referred in and having a team of people behind me, it appears that the boys club won again.
The person I interviewed against literally ahs sexaully harrassed me and created uncomfortable situations in a different work place. oddly, he won this position over me due to talking about football with the hiring manager. thumbs up Exact Science. looks like some people will get theirs in Karma. hope it comes in the form of the cancers you try to prevent.

If you really believe in karma, you better be careful wishing terrible things on others. Glad we dodged a bullet with you. And, just a note for you - if you didn’t get a job AND you’re a woman, it doesn’t mean you didn’t get a job BECAUSE you are a woman. Just saying....

If you were interviewed by JS- it’s probably because you are a woman. Your better off not working for the narcissist

Why even post the GI positions if they were going to be filled internally by your primary care reps? Just a waste of time for jobseekers and waste of resourse at Exact. I know the rep that was promoted into the specialty spot and wish them well because they'll need all the help they can get.

    FYI
Exact does not have just primary care reps. We have been responsible since day one for every potential provider who has potential to order Cologuard. This includes PC, IM, GI , Gyn, and colorectal surgeons. This is a REAL sales job not some lame pharmaceutical job. An internal candidate is obviously the preferred candidate for this role for obvious reasons. Many of us chose to stay right where we are , because more than likely we will have more control over our own sales and make more money than GI!
Our biggest obstacle is absolutely insane goals unless you are fortunate enough to get Medicaid approved in your state. Those are the only reps who have any chance of making top bonus and circle of excellence. Not fair but that is how it goes when upper management is clueless!
