I think it’s time to stop pretending that Cardinal Health really believes in promoting and hiring women into upper leadership. They had a chance to hire 3 women with a proven track record of success to National roles and instead they hired two frat boys that are all talk and no substance. Apparently one woman had to beg to be considered and it looks like all 3 may have been put up against each other for one job. One was likely so mad she left. All 3 were top performers over the last few years and by all accounts worked hard and are/were well liked by their teams. Nice job Cardinal. Furthermore, I work(ed) in the Mountain and The newly name National VP over Specialty was never heard from or seen when he covered this region. Shouldn’t that be part of the hiring process? How hard is it to check his call in number and travel records? In talking to people he was over in the Mid-Atlantic at the NSM they tell me the same thing and one said he’s never even been in to any of the major accounts. I mean seriously how do you not engage at one of the most recognized hospitals in the country, in a city you live in, in a year like we just had? It’s so hilarious to hear all this talk about diversity and inclusion but when they have the chance, they promote 2 pocket squares. One that will be responsible for growing our distribution but never presided over it in his career. This new structure will fail miserably with empty suits leading it. Good luck to all the CAMs, it may not seem like it now but consider yourselves lucky.

Well said. It is disgusting watching the situation. But I hand it to the corporate PR people - they know how to work the numbers and the system to make it appear like woman have a chance.

I assume you are talking about KV. She was a rock star. She is also way better off at Medtronic. She had the best numbers but they promoted a bunch of people above her into the national roles. I have seen this happen time and and time again at cardinal and not only to women. Cardinal time and time again don’t get their most talented people into bigger and better roles. Promotions are all political. I had a VP tell me I need to be more of a politician to get promoted after I had blown my number out year after year and crushed anything they put in front of me. I have worked at our competitor, and I would have been promoted twice over had I produced like I have here. I finally gave up. Time to look for another gig

We played 18 holes today! It was comfortable because the temperature and humidity was lower than usual. It's still in the upper 80's, but it was bearable on the golf course! I shot an 82, and most everyone had a decent score.
