Does Lab corps acquisition of Genzyme Biological division have any impact on Quest?

 

The jackass management team has a negative impact on business....

 

Quest is its worst enemy.

 

No, there will be no impact when your biggest competitor buys one of the biggest names in genetic testing, especially one which was taking sales from Quest every single year.

 

Quest will continue to loose loose genetic business and maybe some hem/onc business to GZ.
Labcorp will eventually absorb Genzyme and do quite well although they will loose a substantial amount of accounts.
It will be interesting to see how Labcorp will use this opportunity to increase their routine work.
I think LC will eventually mess this up pretty good and Quest will continue to do poorly while the smaller competitors grow.

 

We really need to push this profitable testing. Genetic work is the way to go
