    According to ICER:

    • Novo Nordisk's oral semaglutide delivers fewer benefits to diabetics than Eli Lilly and Boehringer Ingelheim's pill Jardiance and, if priced similarly to its injectable form Ozempic, will be more expensive, the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review concluded in a draft report.
    • Oral semaglutide was more effective in preventing cardiovascular complications of diabetes than Jardiance, Merck & Co.'s Januvia, or Novo's own once-daily injectable Victoza, but proved less effective in preventing congestive heart failure than the comparator drugs, ICER said.
    • Oral semaglutide is due for approval from the Food and Drug Administration this month, after which the price will likely be announced and a more precise cost-effectiveness calculation can be completed.

Novo Nordisk pricing oral at 26.00 a day. Almost 800 a month .

Nothing that Novo does nowadays would surprise me. I’ve never seen a company with such incredibly good products hamstring themselves with poor pricing decisions as much as Novo does.

No one cares what the list price is. You think Novo is going to charge full list to the PBMs? Managed care orgs have already reacted favorably to contract negotiations, and if someone gets it covered for the same price, who cares? Begone, Lily troll.

Hilarious! You seem to think that the current PBM game is going to last. How’s that working on insulin pricing right now? You can go ahead and stfu now.

Priced at parity with Ozempic ? will this make it 4-5 times more expensive than Invokana ? Not likely to happen.

You made my point. It’s not about list with PBMs. No one cares. The list price of victoza is over $900. You think PBMs are paying more for victoza than ozempic? You’re a fool.

Are you paying attention? It’s ALL about the list with consumers and the rebate for PBMs. If you think you can come charge $1000 a month for it and no one is going to bat an eye, you haven’t been paying any attention for the last year. Good luck with that.

$700. Not $1000. Let’s revisit in January when formulary access is in place
