Base salary offer too low?

I was offered a TBM position but base salary offered was only 140k and with 44k at plan for bonus this is less than 200k at plan. Is this normal? Seems extremely low for MS. I accepted another role at a start up Oncology company with a base of 165k and bonus of 75k at plan so over 240k OTE.

Is it normal for MS reps to make this little?

RD here. Range is pretty wide from 85k to 165k in base. Most TBMs are north of 120k. Having said this we are by far the lowest paid MS company. Genzyme, Genentech and Novartis pay more and I know 2 Genzyme ABMs (our TBM equivalent) who both have bases over 200k and make over 250k/year.

The base is so low because Biogen has NOTHING in the pipeline, just another failure two days ago and another drug pulled. But bet your ass the Frenchy CEO gets another raise while the reps get squeezed with higher quotas in an over crowded market. Reps on BS plans, being pushed out quietly or being micromanaged by idiots.......run from this place, I'm trying too!!

Quit your bitching and go on. You're all over paid! If you don't like the salary keep looking and get off the board.
