Why Do They Hate Us?

    I look back on the InVentiv days with longing. The amount of respect given to the sales force now has to be at an all time low. If I hear “What have you changed...” one more time I’m may go ballistic. WTF has Management changed? Oh, I know, they treat us with disrespect and blame even more things on us. It started with the POS car I’ve been driving for 2 months.( it’s not free, We have to pay for a portion ). Possibly the worst vehicle I have ever been given to drive in my Pharma career. Fortunately I had “options”. I can only imagine those who did not. Turn over is still astronomical and they just don’t seem to care. And on Friday we got our goals. Could they be any less motivating? I had a career high week and was still tracking below goal. It just seems like they have taken everything The Bicycle Guy said and did the opposite. I’m not going to say it starts at the top but definitely that next level needs to be looked at. Our RBMs only do what they are told. Some with a little too much gusto

    Now that DS is gone will SH Be next? Who will lead training? MM would be a disaster. At least with all the openings for reps my rankings don’t look so bad. Now if my ASD would take her talents elsewhere.......

    Well they took away the day after Thanksgiving from us. Who does that? According to my ASD she says “lots of companies “. According to everyone I know in my industry.... no one. And they give them the week between Christmas and New Years off. Why would they do this? Why burn employee morale? What do you seriously expect a sales rep to accomplish on that day? So if we want it off we have to burn a vacation day. This company does some of the most stupid stuff with no regards to the only section of the company actually making money.

    No one posts much here so I went to this thread because in my 2+ years here I’ve found it to be true. Sure, I’m glad we’ve stayed employed during the Covid 19 crisis. Especially when States have been closed and we either can’t get into offices, have to be quarantined or the Company pulls us out of the field.
    Knowing all of this it makes me not understand why we seemingly have had to put together a new Business plan every other week since our NSM in March. Some are even having to present them via Zoom to our manager and ASD. Why? Just seems like added stress and nonsense. Next up is the virtual POA. My only hope is I am not the only one from my side of the country in small groups. I know this sounds like complaining and it might be. But the tone deaf disconnect between the field and management (let alone the field and Ops) is really annoying.
