Patten is a control freak. He hires spineless managers. They are puppets and he pulls the strings. It’s a really messed up situation out West.

The turnover is high and they keep it a mystery when people leave.

There’s no middle. Look around, people either begin their pharma career here like me or end it here because this is their only option. BDSI is the hospice of pharma

upper management, middle management, shitty management!!!!
Reps get treated like garbage and managers don’t help the business. Stay away!! Stressful environment and a Waste of time that offers very little incentives to stick around. Managers are a joke! They can’t sell and won’t support you.

It is unfortunate that management does not have a problem with a turnover rate if 42% year over year.

Salix leadership 101. They are still doing this shit at Salix/Valeant.

...and the ex-Salix “leaders” brought it with them to BDSI.

The negative crap on this forum are from people either on a plan or need to be. I've been crushing it since I got here. You're either an "I can" or an "I can't" person if you come to work here. Ultimately, your performance is up to you.

To above poster.... I don’t write much on here and I’ve done pretty well since being here. But being I’ve been doing this quite some time in the pain market, there are territories that do well no matter the person or company. I’ve seen a pattern no matter where I go. I’m sure some of the people on a plan are positive. There’s only so much you can do. If you call people who are on the top they aren’t really doing things any differently than you. Sometimes people aren’t working but honestly a lot of success in pharma is the area you live in. Unless you are completely unlikabe and just not working, certain areas always do well. I’m guessing you live in one of those areas.

Or maybe the people who are always at the top are in Oklahoma, Texas and Georgia where mid-levels can only prescribe CIII’s and nothing else.

Ironically people who know SP know he was one of the worst sales people ever! People at Salix hated him except for people like MB who is one of his demonic but buddies. Most evil people i have ever worked with! Any place these people turn up at will become toxic. Never apply at a company who hires anyone who was in management at Salix especially one of the worst humans on the planet SP
He never learns and actually thinks being hated is a compliment
    Idiot

MT and SP cut from the same BS cloth.
Useless leadership, not serving the best interest of the team or customers. Shouldn’t there be a second look when the turnover rate is as high as it is?
Could it be that leadership sucks and no one wants to be talked down to like a child? Food for thought, have leadership complete some servant leadership courses. This might help the retention rate. Otherwise, nothing will change. By far the poorest leadership ‘be ever had the misfortune of working for (not with)

Surprised HR hasn't fired MT after all the exit interviews from his team.

HR is in the back pocket of SP. nothing will change here, and don’t expect anything to change. People who are smart enough to see their BS will get shit on, and the idiots become the pawns until they finally realize their being played too. They have a broken business model that only benefits the people at the top. Everyone else will burn. Don’t let The BS fear tactics get to you. At the end of the day it’s just a job, and in SP eyes you are all just a rep. Broken dude with broken views. Toxicity is the blood line of this company.
