  1. I was contacted by a recruiter regarding a position with BD/Bard - their endo urology division - dealing with kidney stones.

I'm considering moving forward for an interview, but I've done some homework and was hoping to get some confirmation yes or no...

I've heard the manager in the west has been there for a little over 5 years, and has had a ton of turnover under his leadership. Can anyone confirm? I hear he's had, not including current reps, a total of 12 reps in 6 territories leave? Is this true? Does anyuone know what the situation is? Micromanaging? Poor past hires? Or is it somethign to do with the products vs competition?

I've also heard he has yet to hit his quota...I seriously question this - what company would keep a manager for that long when they can't even hit their number?

I've also heard the territory I'm considering has been sitting open for a year now...so it will be in terrible shape. Should be easy to make a dent in it, I would think - but who leaves a terrritory open for a year?

So there are a lot of red flags, but it seems like Bard is a good name and the benefits seem pretty solid.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

This thread - and many on here - are scarily spot on.

    Run, it’s a culture thing.

Great reps start at Bard/bd and quickly move on when they realize that the sales management team in any division is unethical. You don’t want to get labeled

good reps start at bard and get stuck. They also get labeled as who wants to hire them

bad reps (ethically challenged) get promoted

This manager is no longer there...but I bet he's pretty happy about the Giants this year.

First winning record in 7 years! Kinda like him and his quota as the West District Manager RM. Oh wait; not once did he hit in 5 years...
