Amgen is on to this thread. They just asked CP to monitor it.

My brother who works at Salix told me they did this telematics at Salix under the same excuse. Safety etc.

Not true! A ton of reps were let go and no severance. My brother who is not a rep but high up at Salix did confess that they track the cars in real time and are given reports that show variance based on time / days worked / miles from home etc.

Let’s just say if you are not working a full day you will be caught and will be let go. This is not worth it. Work a full day and make your 10 calls per day even on Friday. Party is over.

it is dickheads like you that talk out of total ignorance. How much revenue did YOU bring to Amgen last month? Yup zero! How much do you think my team of reps brought in?

you are an ignoramus and NO top producer works a full 8 hours. You don’t have to if you are a great sales person and manage your time well. You working 12 hours in TO which I doubt only shows you manage your time poorly. Jackass!!!

You, TO Clowns, truly believe that you are the revenue drivers at Amgen. GFY. TO continually makes poor decisions, i.e. Amgen's first CIA, Amgen's second CIA, Amgen's RAS Program (will bring another CIA, soon), $15,000 Repatha, Corlanor purchase, lack of sales team development, giving away free product for a year (only to notice that the majority of patients once given a free drug would not want to pay for it in the future), the cycle of hiring, discharging, and rehiring contract sales forces, and I cannot leave out the excellent Evenity launch, where the sales team was sent out to sell a product with no coverage and no sales materials. How about you all look to assist the sales force rather than finding ways to hinder performance? Remember, without, a sales force to spin the stupidity that TO calls marketing, this company would not be making the same revenues.

TO clowns got us into this to begin with. When you have idiots who value their contribution by how many hours they work in their cubes, there's the problem. Why not value your contribution by what you actually get done?

Congrats on works so much I guess. Let me ask you cubicle dweller at TO, will they also track my speaker programs? The ones where I am gone from my home from 5:30-9:30 about 15 times a year?

TO will never understand, or, even, try to understand what the sales team does on a daily basis. They’re too busy patting themselves on the back for mediocrity. Repatha is a great example. When numerous entities and individuals tell you that a drug is priced too high, ignore them, and then tell yourselves how great you are, after you have lowered the price, because your incompetence has led to a record low in sales for a launch product.

That's why we have this chasm of distrust and divide.

So by your logic sales people are the only group at Amgen that bring in revenue? I hope that's a joke. Technically you don't actually sell anything either. You have a close relationship with the end customer. But you don't do direct selling. Typical salesperson attitude thinks people who have a lot of must be managing their time poorly. Maybe some people just have a lot more work than you because they have major deadlines that require time investment. No top executive come from sales because you all have a turd lazy attitude of work as little as possible. No work ethic. Talk to people who are high earners at your age how much more they paid their dues

Look... I was just in TO at the home office last year and even though you may have project "deadlines" and you are at the office 8-5 the pressure is WAY less. If being a sales rep is as easy as it sounds then come out with us lowly reps and try your hand at it. I'd like to see how it goes for you in shut down areas like Chicago , Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, etc..... You are a paper shuffler/pencil pusher.

Imagine.... showing up to the office every day in TO.... you prepare long and hard to present something to your team of whatever project you're working on and unfortunately someone tells you sorry.... you're going to have to work on this project with them but you can't see them face to face, you can't speak with them on the phone nor can you reach them online. You may however get lucky by maybe seeing them in the hallway or break-room but other than that you're on your own. Maybe you could invite them to a dinner presentation but then again they've got lives outside of work. I mean like you just said..... they've been there from 8-5 every day. They want some time off after hours. THIS is the world of a rep in shut down cities. Thanks for big pharma, greedy, corporate, aka "home office" strategies.... we've worn out our welcome across the US. THANK YOU MR/MRS HOME OFFICE PERSON. YOU'RE THE F'ing best. Now get back to work. You're on deadline.

You forgot, that to even make an appointment, you have to get more vaccinations than anyone who actually cares for patients at the hospital, you have to pay an extortion fee, you must sign in by the morgue and you must pass a HIPPA exam every quarter or you will not even be allowed to ask for an appointment.

We don't sell anything..... ok...so why don't you play the hero and bring that to the attention of your upper management there in TO?? Why not just get rid of us? We're expensive as hell and to your point.... "we don't sell anything".

Typical smug corporate bobble head. Please enlighten us of the "dues" you paid above us sales force minions. Sounds like you've worked really hard when we're all out here just cruising around listening to ESPN on satellite radio.

Led foot here, this ain't no joke. I live in the boonies and rage on the open highway in excess of 90mph (Volvo). Obviously they have been monitoring for a few months now. Three weeks ago I gassed it and the car wouldn't go over 80mph. Later I got a nastygram from fleet stating they remotely sent a governor cap signal to my car. In English that means they capped how fast my ride goes, total crap. If I pay for mileage and tickets let me blast down the interstate like a bat out of hell.

    Signed,

Drive it like you stole it

Ps, fleet cc'd my manager, director and legal.

This is just hilarious. Typical car salesman arrogance. Yeah I'm sure you have a high level of finance and accounting acumen. You've been to TO a few times and you think you know how the corporate office works. Just lol. I'm fairly certain you couldn't do a single analysis I do, even the easy ones, and I bet I know about the science of almost any product we have. There's a reason top execs aren't groomed from sales people. You don't understand the business at all. You live in a small bubble.

Whoever made the dumb level 4 sales comment comparing it to level 6. It's a completely different comp structure. And you'll max out much faster than someone in corporate in their career trajectory if you stay in sales unless you run an entire region.
