How much time did you waste today clicking, typing ect on a device vs delivering client value?

Is this what this is supposed to be? I spent most of the day (and everyday) clicking, searching, trying to figure out how to do things or find things in a mess of layers of mostly wifi dependent technology. Real selling today..., moving the needle, delivering a value freight train to any customer...not so much. You ?

Show me a world class sales organization that does not require reps to input into a CRM. Seriously. To be a professional sales person today it comes with the territory. All medical device reps have to do it. Pharma Reps- youbetcha. Software sales reps, absolutely. Other distributors require it too- don't be fooled. In fact its more rare for a sales team not to do this sort of activity in today's world.

I see both sides on this. To the original poster.. agreed you are the entire company with little support and you spend most of your time trying to maneuver to get shit done. To the crm post., agreed although only if Benco actually had a legit crm that was actually a useful tool. I don’t know TRs spending any amount of time in a crm? It’s not even really relevant. Call notes is not crm and a homemade opportunity pipeline isn’t crm either. Its for company benefit not reps. I believe time is generally wasted away from customer relationship time trying to juggle everything and every problem. Sales jobs have crms helping to manage the relationship and selling. Customer service jobs like territory representatives probably don’t really have much of a need for a functional crm. Likely why there is none. Actually nowadays everyone with a customer needs a functional crm. I can almost foresee the day when you are paid on call notes and not sales. Then they will get all the notes their hearts desire... but at the cost of lost sales. World class and sales organization? I don’t feel either or said together. I do still have hope with the right leaders or epiphany things can change. Maybe I’m naive. Back-up plan, you can always find a sales job.

Call notes is just a way for the inside sales reps to learn about the acct. Once the inside sales reps know enough they will start getting rid of more territory reps and be a Darby with only inside sales reps.

yup. They can pay the inside reps pennies in pittston and rid themselves of local reps making bank on commission. Won’t happen immediately but that’s where this is going: Online and phone.

let me guess, you like to do things the “old way” AKA the way it was 20 years ago. Better stock up on reading glasses, you’ll be clicking and searching everyday. This is the new world order.

How can this be possible if that the inside Reps barley sell anything? I’ve had one for years and she’s only made a few sales.

Because they can sell everything at guardrail or below and avoid commissions. The younger Drs will be all over it.
