It seems so many pharma openings across various companies are taking longer and longer for them to fill. In some cases posting to hiring is like 3-4 months. Curious what the timelines at astellas are like?

i was wondering that as well. They keep renewing the job posts on LinkedIn. Are they waiting for an approval?

My RSM said they are waiting on the right candidate to drink the Kool-aid.

You need to suck up more in interviews, declare you are transgender during your handshake, and bring purple Kool-aid with you. That will improve your chances.

Thanks for the advice! I’m on it!

This is SO TRUE! Especially for a new company with product launch. They will post for months and collect hundreds of resumes. It's ridiculous!

Hello, Are primary care reps still promoting Vesicare or just Myrbetriq?

Is it reasonable to ask 95K PCP for a rep with 8 years experience?

    Thank you

They just renewed my area posting AGAIN on LinkedIn. It’s like the fourth time. I’d assume they haven’t gotten enough qualified applicants so they are still posting.... but this is ridiculous!

Run away from this job. Vesicare is going generic. No pipeline. Culture is toxic.

What is the process? How many interviews and with who before an offer? Anything else like a ride-a-long?

    Thanks!

Vesicare went generic months ago, not sure where you have been.

Interview process is 1 phone screen interview with RSM maybe a different RSM as well on first face to face, 2nd interview with hiring RSM , maybe a specialty RSM if they weren't at the first. Final interview ASD.

Pay range for Astellas is generally lower but if you have a good manager might be worth checking out. I'd find someone who works for the hiring manager and see how they like. Overall my experience at the company has been positive had 1 micromanager but thank God got realigned to a decent one.

PCP same story around the country tighter access. LTC opens up a few doors to see people though.

Any idea why they keep reposting job openings?

Endless interviews with more than one person followed by a sales presentation role play regardless of your experience in the industry and another F2F interview after that and if you're lucky you'll get offered an by an insulting low base salary.

The hiring process is pretty quick, but the length of interviews and high volume of applicants makes the process last forever. It could take months, but when a decision is made it goes faster.
