Lundbeck here. This deal has been in the works for months. Sorry you guys were so screwed , but this is a good thing for you guys. Lundbeck is very poorly run. Trust me when I say that you are definitely better off.

Really good point, I read an article that an investigation is being launched into the board members

The idea that psych would somehow get this is laughable. This isn’t primary care. Neuro will have it. But I’m not convinced that any of the newbies that make up the majority of the company these days are up to the task.

I don’t think very many in psych want the migraine drug. Oral versions will likely be out by late Spring of 2020. Oral versions will dominate in PC, and patients don’t mind taking a pill. I do agree that few Lundbeck reps are up to the task. The turnover here is horrible, and there is no reason it will get better.

Outsider - no relation to Alder (applied, not selected for an interview) or Lundbeck (never worked there nor applied there) - here. If you are Alder and are negotiating with Lundbeck, you still go through as far as you can with interviewing/hiring. What if at the final second, Lundbeck backs out? Someone screams "don't do it!!!" and the deal falls through? Alder needed to continue their efforts until it was final or risk not having any commercial sales in place when the product was ready to go. In an over $2B buyout, the 1-2 million they spent recruiting didn't even come onto the radar of "wasted money". Just my 2 cents.

Bingo. And the number one priority of a business is to make money. Employee well being is way down on the priorities. Never forget that.

I'm sure that right after you got a phone screen they asked if you were interested in a senior management. Start up, IV, pure play, enough cash to get through 2020....why would they want experience with a short runway? Did you enter your calls today?

Right. It's not like Alder was going to tell you that your offer may be in jeopardy because they're in the middle of a possible acquisition. Not maintaining status quo in pre launch activities would be an indication that something is going on and possibly tip off investors.

Sucks for those in the field that were put in a bad position, but you should have known Alder was angling for a sale and wanted to get it done before launch. Isn't that why anyone would be interested in Alder in the first place?

All the new managers have only been there for approximately 6 weeks and all of them will be let go. What a waste of time and for the record, Lundbeck is a terrible company.

If you were interviewing with Alder, consider this your lucky day. You do not want to work for Lundbeck. You cannot trust this company. They are horrible to their employees. Starting with negotiating for salary to your non existent bonuses. Plus, they payout only three times a year. They do trimesters at Lundbeck.

I’ve been in neuroscience for a long time. I really do enjoy promoting products that can make a difference in a patients’ opportunity to have a better life. But I’m burned out. Since people who have this level of disease usually have a hard time working they are Medicare/Medicaid. All that matters is using the cheapest.

This is comical for both sides. Lundbeck was desperate and will immediately look for cost savings since this was financed with debt. The problem is they are not only behind in the US but also ROW and this is not projected to cash pos until 2023. Good night and good luck.

I really feel bad for the folks at Princeton One. All that work and they might not get paid. Unless they had a straight contract, even then you usually pay per hire.

guessing you’re used to the taste of crow. Maybe some time working on making yourself better at whatever you do, or even a better person for that matter vs spreading rumors and speculation with very little knowledge and facts to back it up.
