Just approached by hill-rom to join international. Would appreciate any feedback regarding the team and leadership.
I have been with the Europe team for 3 years now. I would stay away. lots of turn over. Highly political, lots of undeveloped people with big egos in key positions...worst ones stay (Vincent Evers, Vaani Kodali) and best ones leave (Jacques Lafone VP France, Vincent Kocher EEMA VP). Lastly, do your homework...ask the question "how many people are new in the organization over the last 18 months? What is the revenue? did it increase or decrease?
I don't recommend. Incompetent management and inconsistent. Let me give an example: - when SVP of global supply chain was let go, they asked an individual to be interim SVP - 9 months later this individual was asked to lead commercial ops after permanent SVP was hired - few months later they fired him This is an example of how hill-rom operates and hence the reason the company has no respect in Europe.
read the most recent investor call transcript...international under leadership of Carlos Alonso is going down. The only part of international doing well is APAC and that region was doing well before even Carlos started. The key leaders of international team either left or were asked to leave. Hence the reason for poor performance. Carlyn and Alonso destroyed that team.
Bullshit! Alonso is cleaning the house, getting rid of lots of incompetent people who brought the business where it is today. Years of mismanagement and incompetence will take time to fix. The organization is set up and ready to take off. Good moment to join now
Well said! The cleanup in International was long time due, we are finally getting direction and high quality leadership. Leaders like Selinger, Canal and Alonso were missing and they will get it done. It will not be easy though ... and probably more incompetent people will have to leave ... I am here less than 5 years and can speak of the mess that Infante created in Europe, particularly in Germany, but am fully confident that it will get fixed .../
I am being offered a position in Hill-Rom Europe and am a little bit confused after reading this thread. Is it a good time to join now? Thanks for any perspective and advice here.
Stay away from Hill-Rom. Grotesquely incompetent executive management compounded by horrible intellectual and emotional maturity. Churn at C-Suite and C-Suite-1 levels a testament to this incompetence. It is fundamentally an abusive place. Find any other work and you'll have dodged a bullet.
So much resentment in this comment! Certainly from one of the many incompetent people who were let go, so the business could be back to growth - just read Q3 earnings release - and the work environment so much improved! Great place to work if you can take accountability for your performance and work collaboratively in a team!
You are assuming the message comes from former employees. Think again. Really bad culture...let's talk data points...how many hr leaders changed since 2011? And why?
True, but what is the problem with it, when it is to raise the talent level to make the company better? The numbers are showing that Hill-Rom is going on the right direction. Btw, I think that more people should go and there is still more room to improve talent in this company. If you are an employee and so resented, what don't you leave? If not, with this attitude, I expect leadership will invite you to leave, so those who we are here can continue to work hard to make the company better. Move on, my friend
I used to work for HR many years ago. It's sad to see how crappy this company has become due to poor management and leaders who are out of touch with the industry and its employees. Change at the top is not a bad thing, and certainly from what I have seen from the outside, it looks like it is due - can only imagine what it feels like on the inside.
any more comments on International? Other than from HR people who seem to get too much into this board .....
