Typically how long after taking the phone assessment do you hear back about results? ive heard varying info from those who have passed.

My manager called about 2 hours after I took the Gallup to inform me that I passed and offer me the job verbally. She was an eager beaver though. I think most of the managers at SYK will keep you on 'pins-and-needles' to assert dominance over you while they help their reps open boxes in the OR with perfect form. Expect to wait a few days wait.

workes at SYK for years in sales. If you don’t hear back quickly, you didn’t pass. That’s the reality. It’s a simple measure they use to determine if you are type-a enough to doggedly pursue docs in the face of increasing pressures in hospitals. It is essentially an archetype test to see if you jive with what they have seen as traits and qualities for success in the company. You can’t fudge it or embellish yourself. You either are a fit or you aren’t. Glad I left this circle jerk. More money and less bullshit at other device companies.

I heard back I passed in like 10 days.. they’re not afraid to fuck with you.. especially around the holidays I’m sure.

You should hear back right away if you are a winner. If you accept defeat, you will be waiting a while and working for a competitor getting beat repeatedly. You either want more and are willing to work for it, or you accept the situation as it is. Its how you were born, nothing you can do about it.

Depends on your hiring manager. Should never be more than 2-3 days.

I think I took the Gallup a year/ year and a half ago.. I remember reaching out to hr to cancel the interview process and take a different job. Im curently being reached out to about a position.. My question is, if I took it and didnt pass (I dont know if I did) am i wasting my time by considering this position currently? Or is there some time limit in which they will do the test again?

You either passed or you may not have passed and this HR rep is unaware of that. I would take the interview, let them know you took the gallup and wait for their reaction.

I've heard they discard those tests after a certain period of time. Maybe its been longer than that period or maybe you originally passed. I'm not sure how it works

Did you change any of the Gallup responses you had answered the first time?

Literally the most meaningless test in history. The fact that Stryker still uses this as a way to assess talent is a joke.

Agree. The only things that matter are arm, leg and calf circumference and how much you can squat on leg day.

I'll echo some of the other posts on here. Stryker is a great organization if you're fresh out of school and landing your first job. You will work hard, learn a lot, and having this company on your resume will open doors for better opportunities in device and healthcare in general. Stay a couple of years and get out. Grass is greener and more money to be made with a lot less stress.

Which is exactly why the Gallup is trash.
