We all knew the layoffs were coming and now they have arrived. This company is hanging by a thread. We have zero leadership and no managed care contracts. I'd say we might get bought, but I think it's more like we will close our doors and sell off the equipment. I'll miss some of my friends who were let go, but truth is I won't be here too long anyway.

How many layoffs did they do? And where? Are the buying more labs or selling their own?

When are the layoffs supposed to be happening? Is it company wide or just certain departments?

The only lay-offs that occurred were of sales reps that have been dead weight and non productive for ages.. get a grip.

One, it seems to be a lot of those - and (consequently?) a few openings posted recently. Two, why did Cordant wait so long, given these reps were unproductive for ages? Was accountability for quota increased recently?

Leave Cordant it’s simple. They pay the lowest commission of any lab. DS is a running Cordant in the ground. RUN. Go make more money at another lab and not deal with DS.

Decia doesn't have that much control or influence.

Over the past six months too many reps have left for this to be going in the right direction. From my understanding most are just transitioning to other labs.

Layoffs were to cut salary and commission off the books, good people were let go, who are now treated well by other companies. Cordant is a disaster

Cordant won the CSSD contract in CT. They bid very low and since they have to bill CT Medicaid they are in violation of the lowest charge regulation in CT. One lab reported them to CT Medicaid. CT Medicaid is waiting to get billings to slap them with over charge under regulation. Cordant will end up like Redwood, paying back millions and then getting thrown out of CT. They are so corrupt and don't even understand their bid. If they bill CSSD at $13 they must bill CT Medicaid the same for all drug testing. This means they lose $25 per sample or if bill at normal rate will get audited.
