Does anyone have an idea collectively how many Ilumya scripts are being written. The last I heard was around 1200 and growing.

I think these numbers are a bit inflated. Thoughts?

For what time period is that 1200 figure ?
    All of 2019?
    Since launch?

A decent drug, an average launch and respected company would get 1200 Rx/day people, easily.

May be I should be more clear. How many providers are writing it regularly for their patients? What is a healthy number of providers and also prescription written per week/month.
I don’t see the $100 mil DTC giving the ROI on this .

    Let’s look at this objectively:
    1. Launch trajectory is set in the first 120 days. Less than 5% of the time can that be changed.
    2. Full-year sales will come in under $40M
    3. Sales force cost: (round figures) 115 field team x 225k = $25M
    4. Peripheral overhead (home office, field medical, market access) $20M
    5. Marketing budget $25M plus $100M DTC

    SUM:

    $40 net revenue
    $170M costs

You see where this is going ?

Well, you forgot to add in $50 million American for the free goods that the incapable reps continue to shovel out. Except in Alabama and Washington.

plus the $80m upfront, couple hundred $m in development and another $100m or so in manufacturing ....

DSS is nudging $500m in the red on this one and hemorrhaging $100m a year on it

all for no reason as it’s a great drug. Just the worst commercial execution in history. All the blame at managements feet

    Totally agree.
And both the strategy and execution were completely off the mark.
Then tell me why Abhay hasn’t been fired ?

Throw in a few million for first class air travel from Mumbai a few hundred times for DS and his goofy entourage to oversee this mess in the making.

Shit show. I’d like to say FU to geniuses at home office who think having one of them ride with us and see docs is going to boost business. Nope! It will piss off offices. #stayinprinceton

Calling for the CEO to be replaced. That’d be a start.

no. He’s doing good job and being treated unfairly by those who post on this site. He’s a leader with a fierce determination to make Sun a great brand.

    I seriously hope you’re kidding.

    NAME ONE THING HE’S ACCOMPLISHED.

Hasn’t made a goal since he’s been here and he’s responsible for the single worst biological launch failure in the history of pharma in the US.

Yeah but if you disregard business results across all BUs, his threats, bullying and insider trading settlement, along with some def OIG violations, then Abhay has done a fine job.

Heard that AG was considering putting an Ilumya script count led screen in the lobby of Sun Pharma to show total script count as a motivator to all. Decided to wait a few years for the Ilumya script count to get into positive numbers.
