Wouldn't it be nice if we wouldn't have a bunch of heads roll at Christmas time?

Our "leaders" are getting millions of dollars in bonuses, having crushed the careers of almost 100,000 Merck employees in the last ten years alone. That's 100,000 families that Criminal Ken flushed, while raping the shareholders for hundreds of millions in compensation he isn't worthy of.

How many meaningful new drugs have we developed in the last decade under Kenny Boy's incredible leadership? The answer is NONE. We stumbled into Ketruda like a drunk staggering through the park at 2:00am and finding a bag of cash. And we've paid this ass clown how much to be a miserable failure?

Ha ha great thread! Merck tried to steal remicade from Jnj through the reverse merger and as it turns out, they had better lawyers so the whole schering merger was almost a bust. The Keytruda thing was just dumb luck.

It is sad however that many families suffered from the thousands of layoffs from the merger.

You are living in a dream world if you don’t think you will be fired soon. More than 100,000 have been let go it’s all public records.

Keytruda was discovered by Organon which is a company that Schering Plough bought. Schering Plough was bought by Merck. And btw Merck Bought SP for $41B sold the SP otc business for $18 Billion and Keytruda will hit $25Billion in annual sales.

Sounds like Merck made a great decision on the Schering buy out. Either dumb luck on Merck's part or someone realized the potential of Keytruda. Who knows. Probably the later.

The last number I heard was over 80,000 kicked out, most by less-than-honorable tactics. I saw thousands pressured out before I eventually retired. What I saw happen to my coworkers was horrible. Don't let the fake smiles from our management fool you; this company truly is evil.

I'm betting on dumb luck. This is Merck, after all.

Do not Undervalue, Underestimate, and Marginalize Ken Frazier. He made a heck of a deal with Keytruda. If this were Tom, Steve, or Mike, that had a Blockbuster generating 25B, you wouldn’t call it “luck”.

and there it is, the race card...just stop, damages your argument....Personally I like Ken, think he has been a very effective leader and voice for Merck...Roger Perlmutter pulled Keytruda off the scrap heap when he came back to Merck, Ken made sure he had the funding to develop it

So, so true. I was separated in 2009 for.....not so sure why. There were layoffs due to the SP merger. But I climbed the ranks and received high ratings every year. I called ppl out for not being ethical and it came back to bite me. But, 10 years later and I'm so thankful to not be a part of that rat race.
