Look, we all get the the top 75% of spots are filled by Texas Medicaid, but WTF is going on with the weeklies. Just because Texas is blowing up doesn't mean that all of territories should be falling so much. Why is my market falling off a cliff? Who is no longer reporting?
Great question. It is an unbelievably frustrating year for those of us busting our asses, are still growing and yet somehow are now at the bottom of the rankings. I would love to know how the hell Texas does it every year, but Celgene is not giving fair credit to the rest of us. It’s the worst plan I’ve had in all my years here and it’s sad to see how territories that have always done well for the company have now been told they suck even though they are still growing. I know many other people feel the same way. Growth can still be an important factor in our IC plan, but how about a little credit for volume and other factors. It’s really demotivating and doing the exact opposite of its intentions.
You can be out for 9 months in Dallas and still finished number 1. That says all you need to know about the benefits of reporting and payer access in Texas.
Amgen here and our reporting for SPs sucks so hard it could remove the chrome from a camper hitch. We are hoping Celgene's is better but we now understand that they too are having tremendous issues with accuracy - if the data is captured only at the zip level from a SP, then the credit aggregates to the distribution points - so Texas will always finish first because they get script credit for business that might be thousands of miles away. NJ, OK and MN will also flourish.
