Congrats to all of the Summit Club winners this year. For those winners that were very humble for their win and were quick to thank their counterparts for getting there I applaud you. For those that decided to tell everyone how great you are and to use social media to brag to the world what YOU did and what YOU won
is pathetic. In this day and age of the pharma world and much our industry is being scrutinized YOU decide to use social media to brag about YOU and what YOU won. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT WHAT I DID!
As Barry Sanders once said “Be humble, and act like you’ve been there before.”

Do you realize what a jealous jerk you sound like for posting the above comment? What a total loser. I bet you live a negative miserable life. Now go knock yourself off and do us all a favor. Put yourself out of your misery

Yes, it sooo much sounds like I’m jealous. That’s why I congratulated the winners. Obviously you don’t get the point and you’re one of those that won and made it all about YOU! Go play with your other self centered friends!

i thought some of the pictures posted on yammer were inappropriate to be shown on a company sponsored message board. I do not want to see an Astellas employees posing in bathing suits. Poor judgment was demonstrated.

Agree 100% about the Egos and social media. We need to be careful about posting. We kill run through the warehouse because the optics were poor and people were posting YouTube vids of their hauls. This year Peak performance got a blanket, sample jars of jam, and a smores kit. Value of extras plummeted 99.5% in one year, and value of trip was probably reduced 50% overall. We could easily do the same with Summit and send us to Rehobeth Beach in February instead.

I was able to hand out samples and only speak about Myr. when my lame manager worked with me. Greatest thing is that the patients are not winning because we are screwing them on the cost of our medications. So get this,
I made $140,000 handing out samples. No telling how much my manager makes pretending to be a leader while coaching me on how to hand out samples.

Senior Managers/Managers from other companies that came in make $220-$250k.

Newer managers who are internal hires and started at Astellas/First management job was within Astellas make $170-$180k+ me thinks.

All of this is a joke- to be totally honest Pharmaceutical companies over pay their sales force, staff etc.Provide cars, gas cards pay for all the maintenance and give bonus. Although it seems fair as a fellow Pharma employee to the outside world, Pharma makes too much money on the backs of the patients. Thats the perception and all our overpriced salaries, cars and lavish awards (even though less then we used to receive) is still too much in the eyes of the patient and public. We need to be humble and watch what we say and do on any social form (even here) as we are the voice and to set the tone.
When patients have to pay 1,000 a month for life saving divide or insulin to live and they have insurance but the rep they are friends with has a summer house, free car and lives a lavish life- we need to remind ourselves to be more humble and not boast as the eyes of all the patients are watching.
This is why this industry continues to have a bad rap- we expect too much, they pay too much and for the most part us reps are spoiled. Lets be real you get paid WAY TOO MUCH to delver drugs to ungrateful providers who clearly give away for free to patients mostly who cannot afford to pay. Lighten up people

I am underpaid. Most patients are lazy and/or ungrateful. Many paying nothing because of copay assistance and/or Medicaid for life saving medicines. Most of them go on more vacations than I do, have better cell phones than I do, and eat better than I do. Meanwhile, they literally do nothing, but complain.
