Heard another veteran rep left for Miller this week. Are we really this big of a dumpster fire?

Jack Smith is apparently hoaring equity of the company to these reps. That’s why they are leaving.

First of all I assume you meant whoring and not hoaring, since I don’t believe that is even a word. Secondly, all of our reps that left had non-competes. How are they getting around that? I may need to leave also and would like to not be concerned about my non-compete when/if I choose to do so.

Thank you for that spelling correction, I didn’t know the spelling police would be navigating a rumor board like this. Just because there is a non-compete, doesn’t mean they can’t buy stock in a company. Those non-competes only last a year anyways. Patterson is an over leveraged company trying to compete with MWI and Covetrus and should have just stuck with companion animal. They paid way too much for AHI and now they are holding the bag. That bag is full of dog shit.

I realize someone can own stock in a company outside of their own company. That doesn’t negate the fact that our noncompete precludes us from calling on accounts we were calling on prior to leaving Patterson.

if those reps are moving and calling on different accounts in different territories, that non-compete might not apply.

Who said anything about them moving and calling on different accounts? That’s pretty obvious regarding any noncompete. No one is moving, they are calling on the same accounts, and our company isn’t doing a thing.

Pay reps more and they are not as likely to leave. It’s tough to train new reps and you never know if your new hires will work out, particularly if you have territories with big budgets and a lot of competition. If you know you have good reps, you have to bite the bullet sometimes. Webster, I mean Patterson, has to get with the program.

Patterson missed 5 cents a share on their last earnings release. Being stuck behind MWI and Covetrus is a tough spot to be in.
