Is surgery device exp typically the path to take to land a position in diabetic meter sales?

 

FSL is a solid product. It's been on the market since 2014 and many of the issues have been worked out. I do hear that the production failure rate of sensor is a bit high but as long as these are weeded out the product is OK. Remember that the sensor technology for FSL is very similar to the meter strips....which have been around for almost 20 years.

 

FSL is state of the art. Stay tuned for FSL 2.

 

I would assume FSL 2 will be full BLE. It needs to be to compete with the G7 by DexCom/Verily. FSL has won the market mostly due to low cost and ease of use. If those attributes are maintained and full BLE is added then DexCom/Verily will have a tough time holding on to their share of the CGM market.

Has FSL 2 been launched yet?

 

I think FSL 2 is done and is in clinicals. I don't believe it has be submitted for CE Mark or FDA
