What is good about Henry Schein? What is bad? What is ugly?

How does it compare to Patterson, Benco, Burkhart?

 

Nothing much. Undergoing a lot of change so quick that nobody knows what is going on. There is no communication at all. Everyone just gossips, which is trashing the culture we once had. We had two “big” reps leave and leadership did everything to keep them aka bought them back. A very bad look to all the new guys and girls who will now see they can threaten to leave and be paid for it.

 

Things not the best ever but better than those companies you named for sure..

Still has to be better considering the disaster that Benco is. Patterson seems to be getting better but would still stay away. Burkhart is irrelevant.

I’m currently considering a move to Henry Schein from another distributor. Any advice on what I should prepare for if I make a move?

 

Correct. Apparently they will be executives now. Because that makes sense. The morale of the region is in shambles. No one trusts anyone, especially those two.

Schein is a good org. Or at least has been. This has been disappointing if not frustrating. Not handled with the future in their thoughts.

I Agree. Why I left. I guess I was not as important to keep.

 

Where did you go? Why did you leave?

 

I disliked local leadership as they are selfish to their own goals and kept expanding our territory in an unrealistic manner. Upper management has been changing so much over the past three years that there is nobody there long enough to care about you. Schein seems to be making change for the hell of it.

 

Forgot to say, went to another dental Company. Another major distributor.
