This is a good walk back. Psoriasis is well more than a cosmetic condition, with the internal inflammation causing it affecting much more than the skin. That said, your initial supposition is true. While Duobbri might be a decent product, the fact that it’s over $800 is a signal that the current pharma pricing model is broken beyond repair. In what universe are two generics mixed together worth $800? Why, in the OD universe, of course! How any payer reimburses for that nonsense is baffling.

I know Joe Papa and his leadership team reads what is written on here. I could hear it in his voice when asked questions about a particular product at the last investor meeting he presented at. The truth does seem to affect him.

Taking a look at the bigger picture, for real sustainability to occur, companies like Valeant Health Inc. (BHC) need to be destroyed, Amazon needs to be taught a lesson, and the economy needs to go into a recession. Don't worry about jobs. Everything will work out. It always does. As Nike would say, just do it!

I recently applied for a job at Ortho-Dermatologics and just checked the website and saw that the Dermatology job I was looking at is gone! In fact all the dermatology openings are no longer listed. Did they have a hiring blitz and filled them?

So you google prices of some medications, I think there’s some more to be said about products in dermatology. The vehicle makes a big difference in a lot of cases.

As for Duobrii, it’s a product that combines two ingredients that have been around a long time and thought to be an A+ rating for the treatment of psoriasis. However in the past and separating the ingredients has the irritation of tazarotene and lack of penetration if you try layering the two. Now you have excellent efficacy and ease of use in an easy to apply lotion with QD dosing until clearance. You can’t do that with two generics, so yes a branded will sometimes cost most than generics, but also compare to price per gram.

Said the dumbest and worst leader this division has ever had to date.

"We (don't) understand that patients with certain skin conditions, particularly acne and fine lines and wrinkles, can face multiple barriers to getting the skin care treatments they need," said Bill Humphries, president, Ortho Dermatologics. "By providing an on-demand (scam) solution where patients can conveniently consult with a medical professional online, order our clinically proven medicines directly and receive prompt delivery, we believe we can deliver (a marketing rip off) the best possible experience and access for patients."

Humphries is an empty suit with empty ideas running our division on an empty gas tank. Can you hear us Mr. Papa?

Are the “doctors” on dermatology.com from the United States?

How do your dermatologist you call on feel about being circumvented by teledoc?

The problem is Ortho has recently launched several new products and we have another one coming up......But they are all NON-Blockbuster/new/exciting lotions, creams etc....
Which are very expensive and hard to get from the Pharmacy

I wouldn't worry about that. Most offices are happy to take the time to write PA's and put forth extra effort so that we can get our products filled with brand name. <insert laughing out loud emoji>

The derm division is a total loser for the company and should be sold off.
