foolishness. it is tarnished with the payers and the physicians and they will not forget for a while.
the deep eurofins pockets is all that makes this stupidity even possible.
what about the bills that patients will receive. I'm telling you those bills will be mandatory now and it will be watched.
it will be jail time for the poor soul that chooses to color outside the lines at all from now on.
IF....of course the lab can even make any money in the first place.

Exactly. I'm guessing the fine is much less than they expected and so they are trying to keep going. The BH website has a notice with their own spin trying to convince providers that all is well. But that won't matter if the payers don't pay.

Clevland was purchased by Quest. Eurofins will dump BHD to Quest as well as it continues to lose money.

 

Eurofins is nearly as big as Quest. It is sort of the Quest or LabCorp of Europe.
More likely that Boston will be absorbed into the corporate structure and lose its identity. The testing will be there but the brand/marketing/sales force will not remain dedicated to the effort. It did give Eurofins increased access to the US market. Anyway who would want it? It's worth nothing at this point. It's not going to sold.

That was the case for Liposcience and Berkeley and will be a reality for Cleve and Boston too.
