There’s no “disconnect”. Leadership believes Stryker Surgical products sell themselves. So, instead of highly paid sales professionals, all you need are more service type people with limited sales skills. The younger and hungrier, the better.

If you think you’re a great sales person then go to a lesser competitor out of your territory and flip the market. Most will fail and Kzoo knows it. The so called “bozos” are making more money than ever and the stock has skyrocketed. That’s the reality.

Amazing assessment. Which means you’re either a douche bag, or you’re Stryker management. Nice job.

all signs point to both a douche bag and a manager

their stuff sells itself and no need to pay the reps apparently. Better off at a smaller company that provides higher commission and salary. Stryker is not what it once was and there are much better places to be a sales rep

the Surgical rep in my area was making $550K a year and now he's making $450K a year. I feel terrible for him. sounds like a really crummy job now.....

First, there aren’t any more “Surgical” reps. Division doesn’t exist anymore. Second, nobody is saying 450k+ isn’t a lot of money. It is. It’s a great living. But for every one of those guys/girls, there are 15 struggling for 140-150k. And for the most part it’s totally out of their control. So...why stay here at Stryker, or come here to Stryker, and deal with all the trash they dump on you just to make the same or less money then you would probably make at dozens of other companies, where at least you would have your expenses taken care of?

Yes, the products sell themselves. They always have. Not a ton of competition. In years past it was easy for me to justify staying and dealing with “Stryker”. Now...not so much.

Stryker Surgical still exists. They just split the bags and renamed the divisions. I get what you were saying and agree with most of it, but just figured I’d nitpick that because technically it’s incorrect.

so what’s the status of Surgical then? Still the division to be with?

was it just the FL guys that got whacked? Lots of times when Stryker does one of these whackings, they’ll take down 20-30 reps...

I heard stryker surgical is still the best division to be at if your trying to make a good living. I tried to getting ASR position in Kentucky but that manager Jay has no class! He wasted my time. They also still use the Gallup. I'll try elsewhere!

The division is great but the leadership is lacking. It's an ass kissing contest and apparently Couch is the best at it.
