Nothing yet about the battery issues in at least the Lumax 740/Iperia platform and beyond? I have run across battery reading fine(40%) and the next day the device is ERI 5 times. They don’t even know the issue as they say it has been different components failing. How is this not at least a dear doctor letter?

Biotronik makes great products. The issue with Biotronik is the leadership. They keep douche bags like HM who has lost more than half his team (> 50 people) as AVP, has no credibility and instead of being booted at the management reshuffle gets demoted and is handed the most important region in the country to lead as a RSD. This man single handed brings bad repute to the company. He is in his 60's and on his last leg, he has no ambition & is on cruise control. We need someone with drive and fire in their belly to move the region forward. HM is not the man for it. I hope upper management pays heed

they do not really have a compliance department. You really think they report everything that happens to Maude in the USA? Much less OUS.

100% agree on HM. I also fully agree on compliance. We hardly ever turn in leads or devices. I think we have good leads and devices but who knows when they are never sent back or lost in shipping. Management will be the downfall of this company for sure.

Biotronik had a software upgrade for both homemonitoring and programmers early this year to have the battery read more accurately. This in no way fixed the battery rapid depletion issue. Still having devices reading fine(50%) one day and trigger ERI the next day. I doubt this will only be an issue with Lumax and Iperia as they still have no idea what component is failing.

    Exactly.
Compliance Nightmare and they give awards for hiding things and keeping things quiet.

If the post you’re responding to was valid they would have posted a link.

Have yet to see the 'Dear Doctor' letter but all of their high voltage devices... trunk stock, consignment and bulk purchase inventory, have all been pulled and are currently in quarantine. It's real.

    Thats simply untrue

Completely true. RSDs call it “quarantine the devices”.

I don’t know man, they were doing implants as of yesterday. Could it be a small subset of devices? Why is there no Dear Dr letter provided? Seems a little fishy

It is at most a minor advisory. The fear mongers on this site are un/ill informed at best. At worst they are deep fake alarmists set upon creating the appearance of dire circumstances that don’t actually exist not realizing it hurts all of CRM.

Well..... there ya go. See what happens when you actually present proof? It's not all conspiracy and deep state fakenews.

You also have to keep in mind that BTK uses about a 50/50 mix of Biotronik batteries and Wilson Greatbatch batteries in their devices. They started this after their battery recalls back in 05' and 06'. Apparently, it is only BTK batteries affected and of course they know exactly which subset of cans are affected. So, the .1% is a little deceiving as that accounts for all devices regardless of what battery is in the can.
