Was hired on a contract and they took a photo of our whole class. Out of 150 reps hired, maybe 5 were African American. So yes, it must have helped those 5 a ton

This is the only contract in Pharma where it is potentially better to be on the contract than be a direct hire. I was called by Allergan recently about a role. I coudn't believe what the salary range was for the role. I actually kind of laughed and the recruiter seemed apologetic. She said this is the way that Allergan does things....I said good luck.

The recruiter asked me straight out what year I graduated from college. They are looking to hire a young person.

Are lesbians minority candidates now? If so, I'll have to say I'm from Lesbia.

If you feel so “pressurized” (whatever that means) to interview this way, maybe you should look to work in another industry. Let’s see how much pressure you’ll get when you get laid off after 9 months for a product that’s competing with a generic. I guess millennials still want to be in Pharma. Please stop acting entitled. It’s a contract position and most will do this intense type of hiring for their launch. You fly out to Dallas, Orlando, DC. for the first flight in and book last flight out. Just in case you make it to the final round. Go back to selling shoes at Nordstrom.
