The pioneer hiring started to show a pattern. If there was a plan or agenda, it cannot be a good one. we are watching a serious brain drain and corporate suicide. Someone just told me that one of the best DMs in one of the pioneer ecosystems is leaving. If that's true, it would be a really bad sign.

Haha lot of feelings hurt. Everyone at this company think they are the best. Trust me we are keeping the best of the best and if not available we will go outside to get it. A leaner meaner business moving forward. It's not for everyone because the majority of you dont have the mindset and skills to stick around.

I'm pumped that im staying and so happy we are finally making some bold moves. And for all of the people that think you are the best- I wish you luck and will pray for you all to not be put at a company that will make you sell.

You’re not keeping the best, you’re keeping the cheapest. The least expensive. Your verbiage tells me exactly the caliber of the folk who are being retained. All of us don’t think we are the best, we know it, because we have proven it. So it’s okay if, to use your words, we are “put at” a company that will make us sell. We built the business you will be paid from and given credit for. Don’t forget that. Welcome to the bottom of the 9th inning. Game over soon, for the talent the company can no longer afford, and also for the idiots, like you, who think you won a prize by given a place in an ecosystem. You have a rude awakening coming. p.s. Genentech is being bought

Again sorry grapes. The people that are being kept are being given 15-20% raises in addition to another up to 40% salary in stock. So keeping the cheapest- sorry honey not true. We are keeping the best. Unfortunately you aren't one of the best but obviously think you are. Good luck when you get into a culture that actually makes you perform- we are finally getting there.

First, it’s sour, not sorry grapes, but keep talking because with each post you prove your idiocy even further. Secondly, the raises are larger for lower base salaried employees, aka the cheapest, and those with higher salaries are getting less than ten percent to take on the work of three people. When you are out numbered and pummeled in the field, make sure to run to your HD, who will see the revenue generated for the ecosystem dropping like a rock. Keep sniffing the glue. Your arrogance is temporary. Enjoy it while it lasts. You are on a sinking ship. Genentech will be taken over, scheduled sooner than later. You read it here first. Good luck with your new owners who slaughter the fattest hogs first. The new money you’re bragging about will be your demise within a year or two.

If this is true, this needs to be on the front page of the New York Times. My understanding is she applied for the Lytics TAM. If her former manager, is now the HD and giving his former benefactors consolation prizes, I guess the best person didn’t get job. Even the external candidates are getting screwed in this shat show. An FRM spot with no experience??????

So funny watching people that wish they would stay but aren't wanted complain. People that stay are getting paid big time. Fact. Genentech is to big to ever be taken over- again fact. Sinking ship- remains to be seen but the ship will sink much slower now. You probably haven't worked an 8 hour day the entire time you've been at Genentech- another fact. The one who needs to be worried is you. I'm sorry if this is coming off harsh- sometimes a kick in the ass is a step forward. You are welcome!

JM don’t be such a dolt. It is ok you are the big cheese now. Western PA is one of the smallest ecosystem go ahead and give jobs to all of your buddies. No worries in two years you will be looking for a job with all of your cronies. Because that echo system will be rolled into a much larger one when it doesn’t perform. Best of luck but all the real talent choose not to apply. #sh!tshow

Not worried at all. Collecting two years of salary in the same year. Signing bonus, 16% raise in base, smaller geography, so an 8 hour day will be easy instead of driving ungodly hours, incentive compensation plan uncapped, leadership that is sound, better benefits that cost a quarter of what your people will pay, and most importantly, a strong pipeline and job security- none of which Genentech is offering to external candidates or even the poor internal souls left to bail the water out of the hole in the boat. The North Koreans have a better work environment than the ecosystems. Your people are skeptical, scared and all are looking elsewhere. A few in the ecosystem have already accepted offers elsewhere. Watch the movement. Genentech will be bought. No longer considered a player in the industry. Biosimilars will clean your clock, while you’re scurrying around to try to rebrand and build other markets with mediocre drugs. Good luck. Your reality is the harsh one, not ours who have landed in better places. You created the problems and now you’re making a bigger mess trying to fix them. Typical. Customers are done with Genentech.

Not true. Complete lie. We are not getting big raises. Someone is trying to make themselves feel better for staying with this company.

oh boy one of the uneducated that left to either beigene or Seattle Genetics. Both companies will be lucky to be around in 5 years. Especially the Beigene..

To the above poster, I must ask: where do you think Genentech will be in 5 years? It sure doesn’t feel like a safe place for educated people to stay and thrive.

Watch out everyone ... there is a hunt to put targets on people’s backs and if you don’t believe it look at Lytics. They are looking to lay-off for any reason. The RSD is a talking head and doesn’t stand up for anything. She should have never been hired over here. Her extracurricular activities with a married marketer should be grounds for termination.

you should know unless you are managed or being managed by your affair partner Genentech has no policy against people having sexual relationships in the workplace. Unless it becomes a problem it is business as usual. Now make sure you get your shots after this NFM. HPV running rampant

Just wait until your spouse takes half of your money and you get to shuttle your kids between houses.
