We have turned from being a noble company known for its commitment to patients and its employees into a greedy and callous firm that disses its good employees and small practices for its shareholders and executives. This so-called transformation started when BA took over. Downsizing is inevitable and legitimate. No one should debate that. But his phony rationale for this change is nauseating and can only fool a 6-year-old. If anyone takes his/her time to read between the lines, nothing makes sense because it doesn't.

I know many need to stay for the financial reasons. However, if karma does exist, perhaps we don't want to be a part of this ugly deed if we have the options. I am a firm believer of what goes around comes around. A good company is just a building that houses good people. When the good people are gone, it will just be a building. When the good people are replaced by the bad ones, so goes the good company. This week we are witnessing the demise of an iconic company and its remarkable culture. This new breed of leaders rapidly and callously erased an era in the name of self preservation. In a few years, Genentech may become more profitable. However, its relevance may also continue to diminish to oblivion in the medical community. Good luck if you are interviewing internally! Good luck if you looking for a new chapter elsewhere!

Actually, you’re turning from a company known for arrogance and greed, who padded their pockets on Medicare dollars for years, living the good life, barely working, jumping from role to role without having to prove success. We’ve been top heavy for years, creating excess roles and high salaries when we could easily have trimmed the fat a decade ago. The nepotism will continue. Watch the cannibalism... folks will eat their own to remain on the payroll. Just look at NSM, Genentech gives back, any other meeting. Greed. Excess. Wasteful dollars. All under the guise of patients first

Give it a break...go call Schumer, Warren, AOC or Sanders. This is business and you need to make your own business decisions. CEOF works both ways.. Look on the bright side you are using your enterprising mindset already..

We will be creating more silos and regional fiefdoms run by the people who brought you the changes. The question will be what type of direction Basel gives the Regional VP's..........Here's your piece of the pie......make it happen. Bill A is a hit....Profit up. Costs down. Stock soars.
