The insider buzz indicates Tom Weck has already accepted the position. He competed against internal and external candidates. He always adheres to the credo and is highly regarded by is peers!

Weck will replace Stuart. The deal is done and will be announced in July.

Hearing pro's and con's on Tom.

    What is the real deal?

He seems like the best of breed out of all the "internal" candidates. However, I expect the board will seek an external candidate since the CIO role requires broad and current knowledge of the technology landscape. Another option is to outsource the entirety of IT and move some of the BUIT roles to the business. We will know for sure by Q3. Stay tuned...

Tom Weck is a very evil and vindictive person who holds grudges and for those who don’t question anything he does or says even when unethical - he makes sure to take care of them. He humiliates subordinates in meetings, cuts people off when they are talking or attempting to explain something. He gets off on power trips. I really hope for everyone’s sake that he doesn’t become the next CIO

This is typical behavior for lots of JnJ IT Sr Directors & VPs - that is their key survival skill

Weck's time is running out and he know's it! No one in Consumer, Med Devices or Corporate respects him. He is a total jack ass and will get his just deserves!
