So they want us to go heads up with Eliquis and they are now backfilling all openings with contract positions. This is after they moved everyone around in October to increase share of voice in Cardiology. It’s now clear all they wanted was attrition. Top talent is leaving and being replaced by contract reps. Game over

As it regards attrition: Is it legal to relocate a rep to work in a territory they don’t live in? The reason I ask this is that almost all job postings for these CVM sales jobs state that it is “required to live in or to relocate to the territory”. If there is no offer of relocation, its seems that re-assigning a “valued” employee to work a territory that is huge and also far away (another state in my case) is a way to get out of laying them off. There is a clear double-standard here that HR should address. (Let’s not even talk about the work/life balance rhetoric...)

You have to have lived central to the bulk of the newly formed territories that were realigned as of October 2019. That’s just logical. And ALL of the newly formed territories included far reaches and long drives; probably one over night a week. And yeah they don’t want to bulk up the Janssen sales force bc what they have is more than they need. If Xarelto and Invokana continue to tank they need to have the market flexibility to absorb the hit. Are you new to the concept of business dynamics??

The question was about living outside the territory, not whining about the size of it. Are you new to English?

Touche. Yes, I believe the shake up in Oct. was just a "set up" to hit the door ..

During my time there I NEVER witnessed them try to stop anyone from leaving. "top" talent would just walk away, so they don't care it is factored into there projections.

Sounds like someone that puts cryptic complaints on social media in the hopes someone will ask what’s wrong. This is a place of business. Attention whores (no matter their gender) who hope to be asked to stay when they give notice are free to leave. If you feel undervalued there are much healthier ways to address it in a professional environment.

What? Talent leaves and it is factored into the J&J HR equation. That was the only point being made.

Attention whores ? What?? Do you work in HR?

Opinions are the ONLY thing you’ll find on Cafepharma! And so why are you even checking this board if you don’t care about people’s opinion?! If you have nothing to add, you are dismissed.

Are you speaking of J V? Seemed like a good guy. I think he said to “be human” during provider virtual interactions. I don’t believe that is a strategy that is appreciated here at CVM-especially CC.
