Gilead Appoints Michael Quigley to Lead Research Biology Group. He was Vice President and Head, Tumor Microenvironment Modulation Thematic Research Center and Site Head of the Redwood City, California location.
    Is there anyone left?

So glad I left BMS. It’s become an absolute shadow of its former self and the culture is total crap. Everyone treated like babies while folks back stab each other and “management” just watches it happen with this stupid dear in headlights disposition. So much turnover and no-one recommends the place anymore unless you’re unemployed. BMS is the new Amgen.

How long can a company sustain thousands of reps sitting at home that contributed nothing to the bottom line on a good day?

BMS sucks. Toxic culture. We all miss Celgene.

Don’t you like the people who are now your coworkers that can’t even pronounce the disease states they are selling drugs for?

There’s about to be a rude awakening for a bunch of self important bagel boys and girls.

What exactly do you mean? What will be the impact of this corona situation in terms of potential layoffs at BMS? More likely and sooner?

If there ever was a BUSINESS time of reckoning for the unneeded, low value "bagel toting boys and girls" of companies like BMS, it is now. Even VEEVA can't find unbiased justification (only financial) for the over paid lemming-hearted hordes that bring less value than the very bagels they deliver with angelic smiles.

My HR connection says that furloughs will begin in a couple of weeks for the sales force. That’s when paychecks cease to be issued and we’re all retained as inactive employees until further notice. That’s when determinations will be made as to which territories don’t contribute sufficiently and will be eliminated. Expect a 30-40% headcount reduction.

Seriously. Do we keep our benefits and pay for medical, dental, etc through COBRA or will they give us benefits while keeping us "inactive?" Thank you.
