Just talked to a buddy in another region. This is one of Benco's top regions as far as sales. About 70% of the people are interviewing to leave. Literally,10's of Millions. Holy Shit Benco is in trouble!

If they're that big and these reps are doing that much, CFC will sue them and their new employer to prevent then from working. He's done it out west multiple times. Doesn’t surprise me. Being a TR seems to have seen its best days, at least for most. With the new generations opening their practices, they don’t need a traveling sales rep selling gloves and bibs, they could just grab it online. What they need is help with instruments, electronics, software and equipment aka ES’s and support for said devices.
That's the direction we're headed with Select and online sales. ES's will have massive territories and more manufacturers will also sell direct. But depending on region TR's still have life left. With the average age of dentists being 55 the sunset is in sight for the TR position but not until those 45+ are retired. Slowly but surely we are headed that way.

This is normal. People leave jobs for other jobs all the time. Mass exodus? Nah, cyclical changes in personnel? Ok. Now if you were to tell me your region had a depot manager I'd say exodus would be the right term, who would want to work for a copier sales person.
