Called for a position. Was told base was 80-90 with people making total comp of 120 k. Is this realistic or is she selling me a bill of goods? Is this a good position?

That depends on the job. You're either arrogant or ignorant (some kind of -ant) to assume everyone knows what you do.

You will be perfect for LabCorp - take the job.

Is this ONC or repro? I think 120 should be attainable but it depends on the territory and the opportunity of course.

who the hell would come work for this company??? You do know that they sold off 2 1/2 years ago to Lab Corp right? There are so many openings because no one can work there anymore. Did you know 3 people quit last week alone. Thank god I moved on and got that stain off my resume. Good luck jack ass

Wow. A simple question elicited such an angry response. I am just trying to gather some information. Recruiters tend to tell you what you want the hear. I did not realize there was lots of turnover. Just want some honest feedback on this division

if its on the ONC side take the job. Its so well run, so many stars in management, no politics and great morale. Its a no-brainer and a great career move.

I was very honest, trust me. The recruiters are simply trying to fill positions so they can make there money. Do you think they have YOUR best interest at heart. The reality is the company sucks, the comp plan is confusing and vague. Senior level management is divisional and most of the good reps are gone. Not to say the ones that are left are bad just they are comfortable, not looking for change, or are happy to have a job. Does that clarify it a bit more?

I was intrigued by the base salary which is much higher than my current salary. It is strange that in a terrible job market lab corp has so many jobs. 50% of the time I get a call from a recruiter it is for a labcorp job

I would say most of the positions are not expansion positions but just replacing who has left. If its a raise maybe you should consider it. I don't think it's the company built like the one where we came from that talked about retention and how much they value their employees. You have to take the job day by day or week by week. Year by year is a different story. There is still opportunity depending on the territory and which division. A lot of people who have left have gone to work for smaller companies. Working for a large company is not always everyone's first choice.

I have an upcoming interview for a sales postion with Labcorp's Integrated Genetics division. I floated a question to a former employee I connected with about the Regional Director for this position in the Northern California market, initials are J N. The high level guidance was that this woman is an ego tool and to avoid her region. I won't go into the specifics but I never know if someone is disgrunteled for a good reason or not. Any thoughts? Thank you.

Labcorp is a terrible place to work. You have no control over your pay and the service levels are sub par. Don’t consider working there.

Run as fast as you can. There is no leadership in this company now, just egos. I have been here for over 15 years and this new style of management is pathetic. No vision or leadership whatsoever! Talent needs to stay far away from this Titanic!

If this is under June Nail - take a pass and don't look back.

Original poster here just making corrections on my horrible spelling errors. I posted from my phone while multi-tasking. Sorry about that. Any insight appreciated. Thank you.

If you are willing to suck it up to just get some experience in the medical space, it might be ok for a couple of years to get your foot in the door. Do not stay any longer than that. Builds character and will help you understand what you don't want to do forever. The manager does not have a great reputation but its a job.

I'm not sure this is the best advice. Aside from potentially 2 years of a poor quality of life, a bad culture, a bad leader, can impede performance. The marketability of a sales person is based on past performances.

This would be acceptable advice for a KAE - or a PAE.
