does BI not know about flat organizations? Just had a reorg and they created

    6 layers under the dept. head. baffling.

    Nope they dont get it. The ppl who actually do the work are far from policy and decisions. Huge gap but they favor hierarchy.

    Leadership by creating exclusive leadership teams. Very long communication chain. To suggest an agenda topic, go via 3 layers. Insane. Peole that do the work are of lower status. Lack of innovation. Approval layers. Slow responses. Cant adapt to rapid changes. Lack of shared purpose. Decreased dignity and autonomy.

    Anyway it is what it is

    This is true in my dept. Which is a service group.If you have ten people, four to five will always get together, label themselves a leadership team, and call the others STAFF.

    im guessing you’re considered ‘staff’? Figures. Staff prefers to complain about leadership as opposed to bringing suggestions.

    enjoy taking the staff.

    Wow just wow. They even set up goals so that leads innovate and have ideas but individual contributors don't. This is the opposite of innovation whatever

    Well...I’m not sure about BI and flat organizations, but what I do know is my respiratory counterpart has a flat chest. ‍♂️
