I’m currently in Medical Affairs for a large Swiss company. The company is stable and there is significant job security; I’m just unhappy with the culture that has developed within recent months. This is/was my first pharma job so I have no experience with restructuring, layoffs, or M&A.

I’ve been approached by numerous recruiters in the last couple weeks and am seriously considering changing companies. One of the positions I’m most interested in is with Biohaven Pharma. They appear to be preparing for launch of a new oral migraine med.

I can’t find any useful information about the company. A concern of mine is that they are rumored to be looking to sell. Besides a potential layoff down the road, what are the implications of joining a company that would be sold within months? And if they don’t sell, does anyone have any experience with Biohaven—company culture, leadership, work-life balance, expectations, etc. that they would share? Thx.

It hasn’t even been filed for approval yet, let alone launched.

Caution on the sales side, BJ is a false prophet and he was a “token” leader at AZ...

Does anyone have any feedback about the company now?
    I am considering them, too.
    Thanks in advance.

Syneos (formerly inVentiv) is doing the recruiting. They are unethical and blatantly discriminate on AGE.
That tells you a lot about Biohaven.

Syneos recruiter told me that they like young and peppy, energetic reps. She told me to have an extra cup of coffee before the interview.

Syneos always discriminates on age. Recruiter told me relationships don't matter, sales awards don't matter. They want someone young. Manager is building a young team!
