If it's the former then you are referring to the one where the Latin translation literally means "tastes of sugar". The original lab test required the provider to taste the patients urine. Insipidus means: without taste." I have colleagues that still refer to it as "the sugar" and they still treat patients and regularly pass board exams. They are not ignorant or stupid. Where did you get your doctorate?

There’s definitely going to be layoffs before this miserable year is done. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful to BI for doing what it’s doing for us during this coronavirus pandemic. But there’s only so much the company can do without us generating demand and sales. By all public accounts, business will not be normal for quite a time. A vaccine is about a year away...until then, outbreaks will continue to happen here and there even if areas around the country hit their apexes and cases and deaths decline. It just won’t be the same. Take this and reference back to what the email said about if things don’t return to normal by the second half of the year...the writing is on the wall people...

 

Trying to stay positive but a possible reality is things get back to "normal" but some offices decide they don't want reps in as this could pose some sort of health threat. Time will tell...

 

Yes, I agree. This is a very real possibility until a) a vaccine has been developed, b) an effective and safe therapeutic has been approved, and/or c) wide scale wellness testing has been implemented to determine who has recovered and developed immunity and who hasn’t been infected and could a potential carrier. I can see reps’ “new world” having to have some sort of health credential certifying that the rep has tested negative and either has been vaccinated for coronavirus or has immunity to it - of course, presented to an office that would require it. Similar to what some hospitals require of hospital reps (vaccination).

I’ve done my due diligence. If you do work for BI, it’s actually a shame you have this anti-vax mentality that is normally the thought process of the lesser educated. And please don’t make this a political discussion because COVID affects anyone regardless of political ideology. So quit with the political bs. The direction our new world will take will involve some sort of clinical proof that we aren’t a danger to exposing our customers and their patients to COVID19 if and when face time face interactions start to come back. So take that for what it’s worth and if you still refuse to accept it, then you are a product of your own ignorance so live with it.
