Chuck only owns a small percentage of the company. Waiting till Larry moves on before he officially sells the rest.

After the lawsuits and this shutdown he won’t have anything to sell. What a waste of a formally good company.

Sources or just speculation? Mighty big tumble for a company that sells close to $800mm a year and has repeat customers. Dis the lawsuits and FTC settlement really do that much damage? Not going to be sold?? Just close up shop??

$800mm? Where did you get that number? I think it’s far less.

It's a lot less this year lol. It was close to that a couple years ago if I recall at BSF. But could be wrong.

  8. IT team here - numbers stated to us where as follows... 3 years ago 950ish mil (when they changed everything to try and get to a billion but failed). 2 years ago 850+ mil. Last year 750+mil. This year? Well, we can see the trend but now with the Virus I’d expect that number to go significantly down. Who knows what that fat stimulus check will do though.... I would suspect they completely sell out after Larry officially passes the business on to Chuck and Rick (yikes). Larry’s the man, we all know he is the backbone to Benco. I have heard rumors stating the company now has partial ownership outside of the Benco family. I don’t necessarily believe the post from Chuck, he’s known to lie, unfortunately even on a federal level... We do have “some power” in an IT position and we’ve seen a rise in talks/emails/incidents where people are thinking of (and are) jumping ship permanently. Most are getting poached from Schein or other dental companies as we hold a fair deal of dental knowledge and the competition knows we are not well compensated. Did you ever look at job postings that Benco posts? I mean there are positions all over the company at any given time. This isn’t a good thing - those positions are hiring because people keep leaving, not because we are growing.

When KT was hired and pitch we can be a billion dollar company and Chuck ate it up, RM told me we had no shot at doing that in 5 years or whatever she had said. I think we where in the low $700s mil then. Things got worse from there.

I believe those rumors, I heard them as well.

yes they will, smaller scale most likely but Benco will bounce back. They have a strong grasp on the East coast. They’ll be around for years and years to come.

Non competes are not going to hold up for furloughed employees. You do NOT have to report talking to Patterson or schein!!! You’re not a benco employee.
This is a great time to network as everyone is around and has free time to speak. What a time to be alive.

thanks chuck for making their forum and giving them the green light to contact us!!!!

same thing is happening to Patterson and schein you know. This isn’t a Benco related only issue, it’s impacting all of dentistry, all of the US, all of the world....

Speaking of. Scheins stocks are down 37%. They’ve been down over 40% at the end of March.

Last time I checked. Patterson and Schein hadn’t fired or furlough anyone. Maybe they will but as of right now those reps still have a job.
