How ironic! I have been practicing the ALL DAY LIE for years now, faking calls, the whole shooting match, and now it’s legal to sit at home! The ALL DAY LIE has evolved! WE ARE GETTING PAID TO DO NOTHING!

You can say what you want but if it wasnt for Pascal we would be Phizer now. Look at the numbers and clearly Pascal have done very well.
Secondly; as an AZ employee and your collegue I think its absolutely disgusting that you actively pursue ways of cheating with your work and even bragg about it - shame on you leeches!
And finally: Are you that stupid that you think senior managers are not following Cafe Pharma? You may think you are big men bragging about how you slack and just take the paycheck. What you are doing is pissing the hard working honest AZ:ers in the face AND you are also painting a huge target on your own backs!
Stop whining, get to work and do your part!

My, my! Testy aren’t we! Sadly, you are right, I am a leech. I suck the life blood out of AZ, but it’s so ingrained in my being that I can’t stop now! I NEED HELP! Is there so type of rehab facility that I can check in that will help me regain my work ethic? Then I can become a productive employee and actually do a whole days work! I will set new records doing programs and making calls! I will win COE every year by working 10 to 12 hours a day! Damn, this sounds tough! Do I really want all of this by doing extremely hard work and actually earning a paycheck? Nah, I don’t think so. I guess I am destined to be a leech!

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!! !

Exactly... been in pharma/bio tech for approximately 10 years. With AZ for 3 of them. AZ is an amazing company that does so much for employees, that being said I’ve never seen so many bad reps and that just suck up and managers who pick favorites. This has felt lime such a check the box company and so many people doing just that to get by.

Not bad people, but bad reps. We need some exciting people who think outside the box and exciting managers. So many people are by the book check the box mentality people all the way up to director levels solely based on their ability to stick around long enough to keep checking boxes.

If any director reads this this, I challenge you to make leaders out of leaders. Not because of tenure or because of a lucky sales year or an ability to write emails. But look at individuals that draw people to them, someone with a true voice and passion and someone who does things different thinks different. I know of 3 people in my region alone that I’ve seen on zoom calls recently and have already heard about across districts that have it. Can we get these people looked at? I’m a rep and always will be a rep, but let’s get rid of people that half ass it, that are same status quo run of the mill and are just box checkers.

Who do you think the contract sales people are - former big pharma reps, most with impressive pharma backgrounds. The industry is contracting, over 100,000 pharma reps have lost their jobs in the past decade. I would not be surprised if the contract reps were the ones who keep their jobs.

movantik reps turned loose last week, so there goes that theory. with dapa hf training, i SERIOUSLY doubt they turn and diabetes reps loose and start over with contract hires. too much to lose

They don’t have to start over they have a Contract sales force in place? And a brand new contract signed w Iqvia a week before this drama.

Watch sales numbers go up now that no salesmen are working.
Watch what pfizer, glaxo, and merck do. AZ will follow.

Sales of certain drugs are going up,however it was early in the new paradigm of being virtual. Will be very interesting to see what the numbers look like in April and beyond. Our respiratory products went up dramatically. Personally, I think it was panic buying knowing this is a "lung" virus. So if people loaded up on a 90 day fill early, April and May could be a dramatic hit. Not sure of other areas. Could see Brilinta being hit as well as Farxiga (somewhat). Onc brands are tough. People need them but will they risk going to infusion center especially with a very reduced immune system response?

Unfortunately the need for Pharma reps will decrease due to how the medical community is doing business(telemedicine, etc..). Overhead for them will be reduced hence the need for reps will follow..probably by 30-40%. I’ve heard layoffs or furlough is in the near future...

At some point, we will see significant layoffs. I can’t believe I have engaged in the ALL DAY LIE for so many, many years! It’s been wonderful! I was very fortunate not getting caught, but it helped having a managers that were more lazy than I was. I don’t know how much longer I will be at AZ, I guess it’s up to the virus, but I will never abandon the ALL DAY LIE!

LONG LIVE THE ALL DAY LIE!

Oncology Rep here. I make more than my Personal Family Medicine Dr.
Substantially more now that she has had to take a one week a month furlough.
Thanks AZ for this ginormous paying job with Zero Access. I’m up here in the Midwest.
