6 years in Big pharma. Have worked in Oncology before for about 2 years. What’s the culture like and salary? Already at a base of $100K. What’s base here? How are the managers?

Salaries are around 130 to 150. s ran like a primary care job but, there are some good people here. You don't get stock, 401k isn't that good and benefits are not that good either.

If you are looking for a primary care type place, this is it. That's why people leave, oncology is treated like primary care and that will never work in this arena. They don't get it especially in the south region. I just left and so did 6 others that I know for that reason. They also don't hear it when you tell them. It's because the managers they have came from primary care type positions.

Forget all that bunk.. you should definitely come here. What division are you thinking of? Don't get caught up on black box warnings, toxic culture, hateful managers and all that crap. That's just pharma. Take the base, don't worry about bonus payout, and leave in December for something else.

Thank you for being both respectable and kind on here. To answer your question, I am interviewing with the hiring manager in a few days for a neurology position. I have previous extensive neurology experience, however, not in that disease state at the present time. This position found me recently via a recruiter and while I am in a secure specialty sales position and having great sales success, I decided why not explore this opportunity at a time when we are all in a "work from home" status and seeing a number of pharma companies already have layoff the past two weeks. In the process of moving forward here with the interviewing process, could you please shed some light on this division, how solid is it? the three products? the future with the proposed co-promotion w/ Biogen on the potential alzheimer's drug? and the salary range for seasoned specialty sales reps with a background in multiple disease states / documented success? My apologies for all the questions. Please don't crucify me too bad on here. LOL

Now is not the time to make a move. All of Pharma is going to start cutting very soon. Stay where you are for any severance that you can get, if you take a new position and get cut then you will get nothing.

You can read the other threads on Dayvigo to get a sense of everything. It’s one product, a new insomnia branded drug. Most of the sales force is now hired and did training but launch meeting was cancelled during Covid, so awful timing to launch a new med with several generic or OTC alternatives. I doubt they will be able to match your salary if you have specialty and/or oncology experience tbh.

Max base as much as possible. Bonuses will be illusory. And don’t count on having Eisai on your resume to add any value.

If your last job was with Sanofi you’re a lock!

They tricked so many former Sanofi reps into coming over with false promises. They rushed me and now I’m Kicking myself in the ass! I can’t believe I left behind a $20k bonus for this. No leadership. No plan in place.

I guess you didn’t remember Hawthorn from Sanofi.

why would you, he did nothing but kiss up and take care of himself. Now he is in charge of commercial at Eisai. Still can’t think of one thing he has done.

I loved Sanofi until I was laid off. I just feel like I was pressured to make a quick decision to leave my current position and now I’m just sitting here wondering about my future. My fault, just wish I was given more time to think about my options.
