Getting money from dying patients?

On the previous thread, there was a disturbing comment by somebody describing a Zoll sales job...
"You will fit vests on patients who are dying in their hospital beds and in the same breath be forced to ask for their credit card."

This brings up a couple of questions:
    1. Why doesn't the hospital pay for the vest? If insurance rejects payment, wouldn't hospital just bill patient?
    2. How often does this dying patient/credit card scenario happen...once in a blue moon or daily/weekly?
    3. With reps being banned from hospitals, are Zoll reps able to go in and fit vests or have sales tanked?

If the dying patient/credit card situation happens more than once a year, then this is the most awful medical device job in history. Nobody should want to break into device sales bad enough to endure this.

This can all be avoided by having a sit and fit Bubar.

Bubar is fully crazy. He also never deployed the sit and fit strategy.
