Most of the Allergan DMs ate in their mid 20s so the legit have no sakes experience so what do you expect. They’re gonna coach from what they read in a book on how to sell it from what some other kid manager told them what they thought was a good idea it’s what you get for promoting people wayyyy too fast
I didn’t think most of the things that are happening here at this company still actually happened in the pharmaceutical world. I just came over and was shocked at the last meeting and Florida, nervous to experience what I might see this week. I feel like I’m back in the year 1995 people actually had affairs and party till 2 AM And promote in off label fashion. This is terrible business practices I’m embarrassed to be here. And yes trying to go elsewhere.
Hate that for ya but that’s the ole’ Forest way. Actually when we became Allergan it got even worse. They need to get rid of all the old Forest mid level managers and there’s a few old upper level Forest managers that need to go so this company can catch up with the times & improve the culture too
As a group, the Forest managers are awful; if we canned ALL of them we might lose a few good people but the net overall would be hugely positive. Mostly awful.
I once had a newbie manager suggest this even though my numbers were leading the region and top 5% in the nation, two years in a row. I explained very calmly that I wouldn’t insult the intelligence of or disrespect my customers by asking for such canned nonsense. He decided during a work with to ask during a conversation. The doc asked him to leave and I finished the call. If this manager read this board, he would know exactly what I am talking about. Fortunately I do not work for this clown anymore.. Be a consultant during the limited time we have in front of them, and we can earn their respect. Not by the horse shit, used car salesman approach..
Dont fool yourself- thats ALLERGAN legacy. Thats how Allergan has always been- all the way back to when we were just eyecare.
