Syneos Health provides mininum severance package to those under VP level with 2 weeks per year and 30 days medical coverage....there are a number of fat cat SVP/EVP's going out next month that received much better packages......they are cleaning house....

The immunology contract will be terminated soon if we are out of the field much longer. No need for two reps per territory to try and do zoom calls together.

I’m part of phase 2 training class. Think it’s likely they will let us go as we just got hired? Makes no sense to hire and train us if they don’t give us a chance to make an impact. I’m willing to go into any office as this virus is media driven.

This may be the case for corporate syneos but not contract sales. Don’t count on anything.

The main reason to take a contract job is to hopefully work for the manufacturer. The odds of this are now 0% as this entire industry will downsize. Use this free time to get the resume ready for a new career.

Haven’t heard on any layoffs yet but I’m guessing June will be a bloodbath. Look for the dreaded 2 call formats to begin in late may and early June.

I am new to Syneos, and started in the middle of this pandemic. What is a 2 call format?

    script read by manager
    1. You have been retained
    2. You have been terminated
One of two calls will happen

The reason companies hire a contract sales force is because we are expendable. You knew this when accepting this job.

The people let go are first.

Funny, that point wasn’t brought to my attention in the interview.

did you fall for the recruitment tactic that you will be such a success that the manufacturer will hire you permanently? That rarely happens, and is even less likely to happen now. If the manufacturer reps are worried about their jobs we are toast. The virus changed this industry forever and the headcount needed to do these jobs will be reduced. We will be the first to go.

Turns out Me-Too Drugs were a corona fatality too. they needed to die though, they’ve been suffering long enough.

if you have to call on pharmacies, your job is out. Save what’s left of your dignity & self-respect & Start driving for Uber or join a Mexican landscaping crew. Even if your company/contract languishes, docs won’t let u back in. You & your me-too drug provide no value to their offices or patients & the risk won’t be worth it.

Any idea how much longer we are going to keep our jobs to sit at home and try and schedule zoom calls? This can’t last much longer.

    I can’t believe it’s lasted this long

some of us must be on a contract with a high cancellation fee for the manufacturer. This is the only logical explanation.
