Astellas showed their appreciation of us by announcing today there will be no more face to face interactions by the field with medical personnel. Thank you. We appreciate your decision.

So just to clarify..am I still supposed to load 12 computer calls a day? I mean...really.. how is staying out of medical offices now any different than what I've done every day for years?
OMG... I love this "job" !! Kinda boned that I can't "expense" myself groceries ... and everything else I need for a while though

Well done Astellas! Way for setting the example and standing up to protect the lives of potential immunocompromised patients we may come in contact with (via their HCPs). It’s not about us, it’s about slowing the spread and not carrying the virus to others. The work we do is important but not worth putting others at risk. Way to stand up and give us all a chance to reflect upon the goodness and well intentions of our company. To be frank, former colleagues from other companies I have talked with are sitting home waiting for their company to do the right thing as well. Thanks for giving us permission to do the right thing (instead of faking it).

This truly is an amazing company. Anyone here should take a look at the general population and understand how hard it is to survive during this horrible situation. What a blessing it is to have senior leadership with a heart.

This industry is supporting its employees, if they still have revenue. Nothing special here compared to other pharma companies. They serve it up as charity, but rest assured, as soon as a company reaches the threshold of losing money there will be layoffs. It’s a business, that make sense? Those of you drinking the koolaid should be preparing yourself if we reach this threshold, don’t be naive.
