Yes, count on it. They will replace the disabled ride-along activity with some other form of active surveillance. They will NEVER trust any sales employee to do their job without a babysitter. Grow up Takeda!

No they will never trust us because we are not trustworthy! I have lied So much about calls that I cant remember which were real and which were fake!

I'm hearing from colleagues that management will be using the advisory board recommendations as the catalyst to implement sweeping changes to how our field teams are structured. If your a DM your role is about to change. Best of luck on the exciting new changes forthcoming!

Not even about covid with dm's anymore, young talent is demanding change around the whole DM thing, and senior management is now in the process of implementing how DM's will work WITH reps, or if they're really needed anymore. It's a new culture, change or you will be irrelevant.

This should have happened a long time ago.

It’s called virtual coaching... dm’s will still be around.

I'm one of the top reps in my Region with multiple Cresset wins consistently year over year, but i have to say i feel triggered when my DM calls, or wants to ride with me. They act like their only job is to grade us, check us out, write us up, etc. Always looking for an infraction to write you up on. It seriously must end! Just let us do our job without this idiocy, we are responsible people! If someone is not working, utilize the ipad tracking as your cop, not a self righteous DM.

The virus has all but eliminated 1 layer of management, the DM role. Upper management will not admit it for some reason. Besides the virus, after the election, especially if Biden wins, look for all kinds of legislation to be introduced to control drug prices. Between the virus and the government, the need for large numbers of reps will diminish. Major change of some sort is coming, but truly innovative change is not. This industry cannot figure out how to sell their drugs without some face to face contact. The question is how much?

Pharma companies often confuse narcissism and leadership.

F2F selling will return in full after the election! No matter who wins, the virus enforcement police (left wing media outlets) will immediately vanish. This will signal all big corporations that it's all clear and now socially acceptable. For right now, It's all about shutting down the economy via covid, thereby stopping Trump's re-election chances. Get used to it, basically 4.5 months to go.

Not all dm’s are like this. Personally, mine is great and i haven’t seen her in the field with me yet.

DM’s in Pharma are a joke. 20 yr old sales model that needs to go. Stupid Stupid Stupid.

That’s why if you have a good dm who gets it then you don’t follow the Stonehenge model. I see my dm 3-4x a year and we’ve gone pclub multiple times. Agree the model needs to shift and dm’s need more than 8-10 reps to manage, but just like we want to keep our job so do dm’s

Hey Shire loser… Wake up this is TAKEDA and we have Cresset not P club. The fact you only see your DM three times a year is because you folks consistently didn’t work

Only person you are kidding is yourself! Shire DBM’s were with us consistently- And not just for a 1day. These were 2 days in the field with DBM every 4/5 weeks depending on how many reps were assigned to Mgr. I have no problem with mgrs on field ride as it’s a normal for me!

Sure i can play the semantic game for ya.. point is 5 top 10% finishes in the last 6 years... if that’s a consistent rep who doesn’t work to you I’ll take it.

The point for this thread is that DM's are not needed in the field coming into offices hoovering over reps, getting in the way of patients/staff, using intimidation with constant field rides every 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Riding with tenured reps that could teach them how to sell. Once per quarter should be the maximum- period, and that's just for the non senior reps. Senior reps and above should be exempt from field rides. Just meet with mgr and discuss business plan. Each DM should have 24-28 reps, they should be called Zone Leads. Don't need the MGR title anymore, sends the wrong message and makes these people think they're entitled to treat people badly - intimidate, etc. IT MUST CHANGE.
