After being homebound due to Covid 19, I have spent way too much time on this website reading the Amgen posts. Over the last few days, I have noticed that CP has deleted various threads.
I understand deleting threads that are racist, homophobe, or share sensitive company knowledge.

But why were these threads deleted?

-Fire all reps: Some idiot who could not spell posted this thread.
-Flyover states-This was a interesting thread.

I am curious if this thread will be deleted. Let's see.

Agreed I would love to know who the "moderators" are or who they work for. Are they Amgen employees? I see racists posts on here all the time and they are allowed. Say one thing true, yet unflattering, about Amgen and it never sees the light of day or is pulled quickly. I love that when a thread heats up all of a sudden every post is reviewed. Someone is playing censor behind then curtain...

While I don't know the reasons the threads in question were removed, we do not remove threads simply because they are critical of companies. A quick review of the posts on this or other forums will confirm this.

We do remove racist posts when we become aware of them. We generally also remove posts that denigrate all employees or a class of employees of a company. It is possible that is the reason the "Fire all reps" thread was removed.

We also attempt to limit the number of political threads on the company boards. Sometimes political posts are part of company related threads but these usually degenerate into simple back and forth remarks from extreme sides of the spectrum. Most of the feedback we receive related to these types of posts request that we limit political content on the company boards. We do have a political discussions board, however.

    Dear Admin,

As stated above, I too understand deleting threads that are racist, homophobic, or reveal company sensitive knowledge. However, you flag and delete many posts.

The thread on Flyover States is a perfect example. It was a discussion of west coast vs flyover states that had equal representations debating the work environment in each region. What is political about that debate?

Don't be so quick to delete...it is becoming like Facebook here! Oh wait, will that "political' comparison get this response deleted?

there is no 'censorship' on cafepharma. They are a private website and they have to answer to literally no one. If they feel at all that a post is in bad form, down it comes. It's up to them to decide, not you or me.

I used to respect the fact that cafepharma would freely allow postings.

So Cafepharma is now like Twitter and Fakebook? Censorship rules the day?

My posts are being removed/deleted, or not posted at all, and yet don't violate rules. Just dropping truth bombs.

Is sharing true information against "community guidelines"? Guess cafepharma...Can't handle the truth.
