If you can get a car under 25k with good gas milage, then car allowance 550month is best. Especially if your car is paid off. Next year w fleet car personal charge going to over 200, then it is a no brainer unless your lazy & dont want to deal w new tires & battery at 60,000 miles
Most companies with car allowance is 700-800 month with gas card. Pfizer's program is worse in the industry. That said, having been on both recently , they are a wash. You choice
the last time I looked at the allowance deal the car had to be 4 years or newer? buddy of mine at another pharma company does allowance and its longer than 4 years. if it could be extended to 5-6 years I may do the allowance.
Normally I would say doesnt matter but w Pfizer crappy car selections best to take car allowance & get a comfortable ride. Genentech has Mercedes & Audi Gilead has Cadillacs Lincoln & Volvo Amgen has lexus So in those companies take company car.
