    Greetings All

This is my first post here, so I hope everyone will cut me some slack for the dumb rookie questions.
My background is in capital equipment sales, 50-50 between collision repair- frame repair, racks, welders, and paint booths. Other half for automotive and heavy stuff- alignment machines, lifts, etc. That's been my business for the last few years.
After some careful deliberation, I recently decided to conclude my auto-equipment sales career. I'm looking for a new sales venture in d.m.e, devices, or large capital equipment. Strange as it may sound, I'd like to take on a trailblazer product (pioneer); I've done some Daniel Boone work before but never anything in medical.
My ideas are: additive systems (3-d printers), aesthetics, mobility systems, imaging, robotics, or hearing systems. I have a degree in mechanical engineering, so the technical end is not a problem. The question is where do I start. I've got a sinking feeling that a manufacturer would be extremely hesitant to take on a green rep with no book of business.
Here are some of my most pressing questions.
    1. Training, is it provided? Who pays expenses during training?
    2. Can a territory development cost be negotiated?
    3. Demonstration equipment, is it provided free or purchased?
    4. Lead generation, does the company provide leads for new reps?
There a lot of questions I have. In the interest of not boring everyone senseless I'll end here.
Would like to hear from any indie d.m.e reps out there

    Thanks Everyone
